Earlier in the month, LG announced the Q6, a new phone that attempts to offer high-end specifications at a mid-range price. Obviously, it isn’t as easy as that, but there are definitely a few features that will make the Q6 stand out in a sea of mid-range devices. Even though it was only announced for a Korea release at the … Continue reading
A digital gold rush always has one obvious winner: the people who make the tools necessary to mine in the first place. AMD, for instance, has found itself the beneficiary of an increase in demand for its graphics cards, although it doesn’t believe th…
Everything is more extreme on the moon. On top of temperatures that range from -300 F to +224 F, future astronauts and probes must deal with lighting conditions generously described as “harsh.” To help, researchers at Ames Research Center in Silicon…
The Japanese Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) hasn’t made a secret of their spaceflight ambitions; they aim to put humans on the moon before China. But private spaceflight is also reaching new heights (literally) in the country. On Sunday, Momo, a…
Amazon has made no secret of its ambitions when it comes to TV and film; after all, it just took another step towards becoming a full-fledged film studio by handling distribution for one of its movies. Now, the retail giant has locked in a streaming…
Apple fanboys and fangirls, here’s a chance to own a miniature Macintosh computer for your office. Okay, so the Macinbot Classic isn’t exactly an officially-licensed bit of Apple memorabilia, but it is pretty nifty nonetheless.
This little dude was inspired by the original 1984 Macintosh and early ’90s Macintosh Classic computers, and is the perfect desktop companion. While I’d rather that he had the original smiley face icon on his screen, Macinbot Classic’s face looks more like he’s about to play a game of Pong. Still, he’s pretty adorable.
His arms and legs are detachable and held on with magnets, and he comes with ADB mouse and font suitcase accessories. The collectible measures 10 cm (~3.9″ tall), and is made from injection-molded ABS plastic.
Macinbot Classic is available for pre-order now from PlaySomeToys, and is selling for just $25(USD). The first orders are expected to start shipping in August.

Xbox One X Console Controller Front Tilt Top
With 4K expected to become the new standard in terms of resolution for movies, video games, TV shows, and etc., it also means that for those of us who still own Full HD TVs, it is time to upgrade. However if you’re looking for a reason to upgrade, how does the Xbox One X sound to you?
The latest console by Microsoft is expected to allow gamers to enjoy “true” 4K gaming, but what if you don’t own a 4K TV? The good news is that 4K TV bundles could be something that Microsoft is looking into, or at least that’s according to a recent tweet by Xbox head Phil Spencer.
When asked if there are plans to perhaps create a 4K HDR TV bundle with the Xbox One X, Spencer was quoted as saying in his response, “Yea, you’ve seen some of these with S and I’m sure you’ll see some with X.” This is good news for those who don’t have a 4K TV and might be looking for a reason to buy one, although we expect that such bundles will probably set you back a pretty penny.
As it stands the Xbox One X is priced at $499, and if you were to add in a 4K HDR TV, depending on the brand and size, one could easily be looking at a bundle deal priced at least $1,000 or even more. Maybe it’s not a bundle for everyone, but for gamers who want to deal without the hassle of figuring out what TV to buy, a bundle could come in handy.

Did you know that it has been 10 years since the first “The Simpsons” movie was released? For those who haven’t been counting, it was released back in 2007 which makes it 10 years old. Given the popularity of the series, the success of the movie, we’re sure many are wondering where the heck is the movie’s sequel?
Unfortunately for fans, it seems that you might have a long wait ahead of you, if there is even going to be one at all. Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, the movie’s director David Silverman was quoted as saying, “I’d love for there to be another one. We’re still a ways away from it. We talk about this and that. We’re thinking it over, but nothing’s happening just yet.…. It’s still daunting because it really knocked the stuffing out of us to do the movie and the show at the same time.”
However like we said, despite it being in its very earliest stages, there’s still a chance it might not happen. According to The Simpsons showrunner Al Jean, “I certainly am cautious about a couple things. I wouldn’t want it to be risky in terms of budget, and I would not want it to be anything that we did purely for the money. I would want it to be a really great movie. I personally feel no need for another one unless it’s great.”
In any case we guess only time will tell if fans of the franchise will be granted another movie, so until it has been officially announced, maybe don’t get your hopes up just yet.
