It just wouldn’t be the San Diego Comic-Con without Marvel there to make a bunch of announcements about its ongoing movie and TV series. Do you like to make strange sounds with your mouth? Well stop it. That’s annoying. Seriously though, you should at least let a computer do it for you. Thankfully, where there’s a will, there’s a way, and some mad genius has made an app which does just that.
Developed by Neil Thapen, the interactive web app Pink Trombone simulates all of the key elements of the human vocal process. It lets you play with the lips, palate, tongue, voicebox, throat, nasal and oral cavities of a virtual human head. It’s not just educational in terms of showing how we make sounds, but it’s a blast to play with.
Wasn’t that crazy and weird? So what are you waiting for? Drop by Neil’s website now and you can play Pink Trombone for yourself, and start making some crazy ooh, ahh, and ohh sounds to annoy everyone around you.

As YouTube is the most popular online video service in the world, you might not think that there are some features on the website that no one uses, but that’s the case as far as the YouTube video editor and photo slideshows are concerned. YouTube has said that these features aren’t used by as many people as it might have hoped and thus it no longer makes any sense to keep them around. This is why YouTube is shutting down its video editor and photo slideshows soon.
Marissa, a community manager at YouTube, revealed on the YouTube Help Forum that both features are being shut down due to limited usage. The features are being retired so that the company can focus its efforts on building new tools and improving existing features.
YouTube will shut down video editor and photo slideshows on September 20th, 2017. This gives users almost two months to finalize any existing video projects before the features are completely shut down.
Once that happens, users will no longer have access to projects in video editor but any videos that they have already published with the Video Editor will be not be affected.
YouTube is retaining the Enhancements feature in Video Manager, it enables users to upload their videos with edits such as trimming, blurring, and filters.

Warner Bros.’s made lots of announcements related to DC superhero movies at the San Diego Comic-Con, not that we’re complaining. The Justice League Comic-Con trailer has also been released, the new trailer reveals some more details about what the band of superheroes will be up against in the new movie. The studio’s Hall H panel at the San Diego Comic-Con is where this trailer was first aired and it’s now available for everyone to watch on YouTube.
The trailer shows the world in mourning after the passing of Superman. The newly formed Justice League is now tasked with keeping the peace and it finds itself up against Steppenwolf and his raging armies of Parademons.
You may remember that Superman made a noble sacrifice in last year’s Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice in the fight against Doomsday. He sacrificed himself to save the world. Following his death, Batman sets out to find other superheroes to create a team that can fight against otherworldly enemies.
He brings together Wonder Woman, The Flash, Aquaman, and Cyborg. The trailer shows that there’s not going to be any shortage of action in the Justice League movie and it won’t be short on humor as well, which is always a nice thing.
Fans of the DC universe are anxious to see if the studio will be able to create something that can rival the Avengers series. We’ll find out for sure come November 17th, 2017 when Justice League hits the big screen.

Ben Affleck played Batman in Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice. Warner Bros. has also been developing a separate Batman movie in which our favorite caped crusader will be played by Ben Affleck. Many would expect Affleck to hold on to the Batman role for many years to come but recent reports suggested that he may not be involved in the movie at all. Affleck has now refuted those reports.
It was reported recently that Warner Bros. was planning to gradually phase out Affleck’s Batman and relaunch the franchise with another actor. It made sense as there have been quite a few issues with the upcoming Batman movie.
For the longest time, Affleck was attached to the project as the director as well but the later dropped out in favor of Matt Reeves. He also wrote the script for the movie which Reeves decided to drop in favor of a completely fresh script.
The report speculated that if Reeves’ plan for a new Batman trilogy made sense, Warner Bros. would go for a much younger star to take on the role of Batman. This would mean that Affleck’s run as Batman would be limited to his appearance in Batman v. Superman and Justice League, potentially denying him the chance to star in his separate Batman movie.
Affleck has said that this isn’t happening. He told an audience at Warner Bros. Hall H panel at the San Diego Comic-Con that he’s not going anywhere and that he will be starring in The Batman. Before we see him in that movie, though, we’ll see Affleck play Batman in Justice League which opens in theaters on November 18th, 2017.
