Splatoon Anime Hits YouTube August 12

If you are a fan of the Nintendo game franchise Splatoon, and also like anime, prepare to get excited. Word has surfaced that a Splatoon anime will be launching on YouTube on August 12. The series will be made up of shorts, not full-length episodes.

The shorts will be based on the Splatoon manga from the CoroCoro magazine, which is published in Japan monthly. The shorts will air on the CoroCoro YouTube channel.

One thing that isn’t clear is if the anime will be dubbed in English so fans that don’t speak Japanese can watch and enjoy. Nintendo has made English dubbed anime in the past, so there is hope.

OnePlus 5 Bug Preventing 911 Calls

A very serious bug appears to be affecting quite a few OnePlus 5 units. Many users have complained that when they try to call 911 on their handset, it reboots on its own. The potential implications of this bug can be very harmful as the device is essentially preventing people from reaching out to emergency services.

Multiple users have complained about this issue on Reddit where it was first reported by OnePlus 5 user Nick Morelli. He tried calling 911 to report a building fire and instead found that the handset kept rebooting on its own.

Other users have reported that they’re facing a similar problem. Users in the United Kingdom say that they can’t dial 999, their emergency services contact, as the phone reboots instantly.

OnePlus has confirmed that it’s looking into the problem. It has reached out to customers and is looking into the matter. The company calls on users who are affected by this bug to reach out to OnePlus at support@oneplus.net.

This is obviously not ideal and one can only hope that OnePlus figure out quickly what’s wrong here and send out a fix for it. Users should always have the peace of mind that they can reach emergency services on their phone should there ever be a need for it.

Game Of Thrones Season 7 Premiere Breaks Records For HBO

To say that Game of Thrones is a popular TV show would be an understatement. The season 7 premiere was one of the most highly anticipated TV moments of this year and it has been met with much enthusiasm. The Game of Thrones season 7 premiere has actually ended up breaking records for HBO. That was to be expected, though, as the fan following for this show just keeps on building.

The first episode of the 7th season has proven to be the most-watched premiere for any HBO series in history. That’s not all, the premiere brought in the highest ever number of concurrent users across its streaming services.

That was to be expected as well since HBO’s streaming services are quite popular now. They include HBO GO which requires a cable subscription as well as the cable giant’s standalone streaming service, HBO Now.

HBO saw a combined audience of 16.1 million viewers for the Game of Thrones season 7 premiere. The company points out that this is a 50 percent increase over last season’s premiere.

The linear TV broadcast brought in the most number of viewers with more than 10.1 million viewers tuning in at 9 PM to watch the premiere. This itself was a 27 percent increase over last season’s premiere in April 2016.

All Game of Thrones season 6 episodes saw a gross audience of 25.7 million viewers apiece, the latest season seems to be on track to best that record as well.
