‘2 or 3’ more Tesla Gigafactories coming to the US, says Musk

Demand for Tesla‘s new Model 3 sedan is already at an all-time high, meaning their Gigafactory, the huge Nevada facility where Tesla mass produces batteries for their electric vehicles and Powerpack storage systems, is going to be very busy for the foreseeable future. You’ll Love This 3D Pixel Art

If you’re looking for something cool to add to your collection of geeky toys, look no further than these pixel art sculptures from Pixel Visions. I first spotted these at the Midwest Gaming Classic a couple of months back, but am just now getting around to writing about them.

Each one of these sculptures is made from numerous plastic blocks, fused together to form a 3D figure. Some of the figures are fully dimensional, while others are designed to be viewed only from the front. Some of my favorites are Big Daddy from BioShock, Bowser from Super Mario Bros. and Bub and Bob from Bubble Bobble. I need those guys for my desk. Psyduck is pretty awesome too.

They have a big selection of cool 3D pixel art figures on their website, with prices starting at just $20. They also will do custom work, so if you’re just dying for a 3D pixel art version of the TARDIS or a Magikarp, I’m betting they can make you one too.

Sprint Launches BlackBerry KEYOne

BlackBerry started selling the TCL-manufactured KEYOne in the United States several weeks ago. It has been selling the unlocked and off-contract variant of this handset so far. It was recently reported that Sprint might become the first carrier in the country to offer the handset to its customers. That has proven to be true as Sprint has now officially launched the BlackBerry KEYOne.

The BlackBerry KEYOne features a 4.5 inch 1650×1080 pixel resolution display with a Snapdragon 625 processor coupled with 3GB of RAM. It also features a 12 megapixel rear and 5 megapixel front camera as well as a 3,505mAh battery.

The most unique feature of this handset is its full QWERTY keyboard that has been a standard affair on most BlackBerry handsets. It’s also powered by the latest iteration of Android.

Sprint customers can purchase this handset from the carrier starting today for 18 equal monthly payments of $22 which equals to $528.

New Sprint customers will be eligible for the Unlimited Freedom plan which provides them with four lines that offer unlimited data alongside unlimited calls and texts for $22.50 per line, per month.

Interested customers can order the BlackBerry KEYOne from Sprint online or through its call center starting today. BlackBerry KEYOne will also be available from the carrier’s retail stores across the country later this month.

HTC U11 Gets Alexa Assistant

If you want to have multiple options for a digital personal assistant then purchase the HTC U11. When this handset was launched, the company said that customers will be able to choose from three assistants namely: Google Assistant, HTC Companion, and Alexa by Amazon. Alexa wasn’t available at launch but Edge Sense has now been updated to bring Alexa to the HTC U11.

The latest Edge Sense update that’s available on the Play Store right now brings support for Alexa to the HTC U11.

However, even though the update can be downloaded right now, the assistant won’t actually go live until Monday, July 17th. It’s going to be a server-side change and Alexa will start functioning on HTC U11 handsets that have the latest version of Edge Sense installed.

Those who have already updated the Edge Sense app will now see a “Launch HTC Alexa” option in the Edge Sense Settings menu. Even if they turn it on right now the assistant won’t actually serve any purpose until tomorrow.

Amazon’s Alexa personal assistant now has support for more than 15,000 Skills so it can complete a wide variety of tasks such as reading the news, streaming music, control smart home devices, call an Uber, and much more.
