Skilled Thieves Steal iPhones From Moving Truck

how to record calls on iPhone
In a heist that appears to be straight out of the Fast and Furious movie franchise, a group of skilled thieves was able to steal iPhones from a moving truck. The Five Romanian men involved in this heist reportedly tailgated the truck with their van before one of them climbed on to the hood of their van and broke into the truck from behind.

The BBC reports that five Romanian men have been arrested in the Netherlands on suspicion of stealing iPhones worth $590,000 from a moving truck.

The daring heist involved tailgating the moving truck with a van before one of the thieves climbed on to the hood of their moving van and broke into the truck to steal the iPhones.

Once they gained access to the cargo, boxes of iPhones were passed back through the van’s roof while the vehicles kept moving. The theft took place on the A73 motorway near Horst.

According to ED, a news outlet based in the Netherlands, this isn’t a new MO for thieves and that gangs involved in these heists often modify their vehicles with an anti-slip map on the bonnet.

The police arrested five men on suspicion of pulling off their heist last weekend. They found iPhones at the addresses as well as the van that they believe to have been used in the heist.

BlackBerry KEYOne Now Available From Sprint Stores

BlackBerry smartphones don’t really get carrier support these days. No wonder the BlackBerry KEYOne has been sold unlocked and off-contract in the United States ever since it was launched earlier this year. Sprint is the only carrier to officially sell the handset so far. It has been selling the KEYOne online for a couple of weeks now. Sprint customers will now be able to purchase the BlackBerry KEYOne from its physical stores across the country as well.

Sprint did confirm that it will eventually bring the KEYOne to its retail stores across the country when it started selling the handset online. There’s no reason to believe right now that other carriers will follow Sprint’s lead and start selling the TCL-made BlackBerry KEYOne directly.

That doesn’t really matter, though, since the device has support for all major GSM and CDMA networks in the country so it will work on any carrier. Having a presence in Sprint’s retail stores will give the company a chance to sell more handsets as it will be able to capture the attention of customers that walk into a Sprint store with the intention of purchasing a new handset.

The BlackBerry KEYOne is being sold at a full retail price of $528. For that money, customers get a 4.5 inch full HD display, a Snapdragon 625 processor with 3GB RAM and 32GB of storage. The handset also has a 3,505mAh battery and a physical full QWERTY keyboard.

All Maserati Cars To Feature Electric Drive From 2019

Fiat Chrysler Automobiles, the company that owns Maserati, has confirmed that all Maserati cars will feature electric drive from 2019. This doesn’t mean that all Maserati cars are going full electric. It’s going to take a long time before that happen. What this means is that the cars will feature some form of electrified propulsion from 2019.

The confirmation comes from Fiat Chrysler Automobiles CEO Sergio Marchionne who said during a conference call with investors that Maserati is going to lead the FCA group’s wider push to electric propulsion.

More than half of all cars made by brands owned by FCA will use some form of electric power by the year 2022. FCA-owned brands include the likes of Alfa Romeo, Chrysler, Fiat, and Dodge.

As far as electrified Maseratis are concerned, the first model is due to arrive in 2020 and will be based on the Alfieri concept which the company revealed at the Geneva motor show back in 2014. Maserati is also going to hybridize some of its existing models like the Levante SUV which is likely to get a plug-in hybrid drivetrain.

Marchionne has also said that Maserati is going to switch almost all of its investment in power trains to electric after the company is done developing its next two models.
