Next Hearthstone Expansion Will Be Announced Next Month

Gamers who are getting a bit tired of the current content that Hearthstone has to offer will be pleased to learn that a new expansion will be announced soon. During a developer Q&A session, it was revealed that Hearthstone’s next expansion will be announced on the 6th of July and where it will later be released in August, but so specific dates have been set.

If you might recall, earlier this year Blizzard announced some changes that they’ll be making to the way Hearthstone expansions are being released. Instead of being a mix of expansions and adventures, Blizzard will be focusing more on a hybrid of sorts where they will release a huge batch of cards, as well as introduce elements from the adventures, so players will have a bit of both.

This will result in Blizzard releasing just 3 expansions in 2017 alone, but given that these expansions are expected to be quite hefty, hopefully it should be enough to appease players. At this point in time we’re not sure what the next expansion will be themed around, but so far they have been themed around the Warcraft universe and places in the World of Warcraft game. Either way check back with us next month if you’d like the official details.

Blizzard Unveils New Overwatch D.Va Statue For $450

Different people express their fandom of games in different ways, and one of those ways is through collectible figurines which there is no shortage of, and if that describes you, you might be very interested to learn that Blizzard has recently taken the wraps off their latest figurine in the form of Overwatch’s D.Va.

For those unfamiliar with D.Va, Blizzard’s description reads, “”Let’s shoot for a new high score!” South Korea is under threat by a colossal omnic monstrosity. Scrambling to find suitable candidates for its armored MEKA unit, the government turned to the nation’s professional gamers. Enter reigning world champion Hana Song, a.k.a., “D.Va,” a fierce competitor who plays to win at all costs and has a well-earned reputation for showing no mercy to her opponents. Seeing her new mission as a game, the global icon is ready to spring to her homeland’s defense at a moment’s notice.”

The statue measures 19-inches tall from floor to head, and the base is 13.5-inches in diameter. According to Blizzard, each statue is hand painted which will account for slight variances between models. Unfortunately this also means that it will cost you a pretty penny at a whopping $450, but given that the statue is made entirely by hand, we guess you are paying for the craftsmanship.

Alternatively if $450 is too dear for you, there are other Overwatch figurines that have been announced, such as Funko Pop figurines and Nendoroid figurines by Good Smile Company. Pre-orders for the D.Va statue is currently being taken on Blizzard’s website.

OnePlus 5's jelly scrolling possibly caused by upside-down screen

Some OnePlus 5 owners have reported encountering a strange “jelly-like” scrolling effect over the past few days since the phone was released. According to their posts on Reddit and other social networks, the text and images on their screen expand and…

LG G6 Mini Could Be Launched As the LG Q6

One of the things we’ve noticed that smartphone OEMs have been doing in the past few years is launching a flagship smartphone, followed by variants of the device, such as a more rugged version, a mini version, and so on. The LG G6 appears to be no exception as last we heard, an LG G6 Mini was rumored to be in the works.

However instead of being known as the LG G6 Mini, a tweet by famed leakster Evan Blass has suggested that the phone might instead be known as the LG Q6. The handset in question is said to have recently been spotted at the FCC with the model number M700, meaning that it probably won’t be long until we get the official details.

In terms of specs, a report from a couple of months ago from TechnoBuffalo revealed some details about the phone, which includes a 5.4-inch display that will maintain the 18:9 aspect ratio, and will also be sporting a screen-to-body ratio of just under 80%. It is also rumored to sport a 13MP single camera, and 3GB of RAM, but there is no mention of what chipset it could be using.

In any case take it with a grain of salt, but hopefully we won’t have to wait much longer for the official details.

OnePlus Now Promising An Update To Fix OnePlus 5 Jelly Scrolling

Based on early reviews of the OnePlus 5, it seems that some users have encountered a problem with the phone in the form of a jelly scrolling effect, which basically means that when scrolling on the phone, it has a stuttering kind of effect and does not provide a particularly smooth experience.

OnePlus had previously issued a statement claiming that this wasn’t a defect and that it was “natural”, suggesting that maybe users just had to get used to it. However based on a tweet from the OnePlus Support account on Twitter, it seems that the company is now working on an update to address the problem.

It is an interesting turn of events given that the company’s previous statement seemed to suggest that they did not believe anything was wrong. We’re not sure what kind of update could fix the problem, especially given that a recent report from XDA theorized that the problem could stem from an upside down display.

In any case we guess we’ll just have to wait and see what happens, but in the meantime do check out our review of the OnePlus 5 for more information about the handset and decide whether or not this is the phone for you.
