Everytime I see an awesome LEGO contraption, I always want to know what went into the build of it. This time out we have an awesome time-lapse video that shows the process as a group of LEGO builders as they created an impressive life-size Thor for San Diego Comic-Con 2017.
The build was to promote the upcoming Thor: Ragnarok that will be launching soon in theaters. As you might imagine, the statue took thousands of bricks, some glue, and a mallet.
(function(d, s, id) { var js, fjs = d.getElementsByTagName(s)[0]; if (d.getElementById(id)) return; js = d.createElement(s); js.id = id; js.src = “//connect.facebook.net/en_US/sdk.js#xfbml=1&version=v2.10”; fjs.parentNode.insertBefore(js, fjs);}(document, ‘script’, ‘facebook-jssdk’));
The mighty Thor took LEGO Master Builders 290 hours to construct. See how they did it with this time lapse video. #LEGOSDCC #SDCC

I wonder what they do with these LEGO sculptures when these shows are over? Does someone get to take them home? Do they just smash it and reuse the bricks? Or do they end up in some Raiders of the Lost Ark style warehouse?

Google is no stranger to developing products that may inevitably end up competing with each other to some extent. It then has to decide which product bites the dust and which doesn’t. The company faced the same dilemma with YouTube Red and Google Play Music. Google has now decided that instead of having to kill off either one of the two services, it’s going to merge them into a single entity.
YouTube’s head of music Lyor Cohen has confirmed that Google is planning to merge Google Play Music and YouTube Red into a new streaming service. Cohen says that the company feels the need to merge both services in order to better educate customers about the offerings and bring in new subscribers.
“The important thing is combining YouTube Red and Google Play Music, and having one offering,” Cohen said at the New Music Seminar conference in New York.
It has been rumored for quite a few months now that Google might end up merging these two services together. The rumors started making more sense when Google combined the teams that were working on both YouTube Red and Google Play Music.
Google is in the process of evaluating just how it’s going to go about this merger. The company has said that it will duly notify users of any changes before they’re implemented.
