Yotaphone 3 Specs And Features Officially Announced

The original YotaPhone was launched a couple of years back. It was unlike anything on the market. The handset had a secondary e-ink display at the back. The second iteration of this handset was launched last year and a few weeks back it was revealed that a third was coming soon. The official YotaPhone 3 spec and features have now been announced.

The YotaPhone 3 has a main 5.5 inch 1080p AMOLED display with a 5.2 inch 720 e-ink display at the back. The device is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 625 processor coupled with 4GB of RAM. It will be sold with up to 128GB of storage.

The handset also features a 13 megapixel rear camera with dual tone LED flash and a 12 megapixel front camera. There’s a USB Type-C port, a fingerprint sensor and a 3,300mAh battery. The device runs Android 7.1.1 with YotaOS 3.0 skin on top.

The device’s bezels have shrunk so even though the display is slightly larger than the YotaPhone 2, it shouldn’t feel that big compared to its predecessor. Prices for the 64GB model will be around $350.

The handset will be available for pre-order from Chinese retailer JD.com starting September 5th. It’s going to be released on September 18th. It’s unclear at this point in time when the YotaPhone 3’s U.S. launch is going to take place, if one does take place at all.
