At the rate phones are being released, it is safe to say that companies tend to stretch themselves too thin which is when when it comes to Android updates, many companies pick and choose which devices they want to focus on, and more often than not after a couple of years, you can kiss goodbye to said updates.
This is why it doesn’t really come as a surprise to learn that OnePlus will be done with the OnePlus 3 and 3T after the Android O update. According to a post on the OnePlus forums, the company’s Head of Product Oliver Z revealed and confirmed that Android O will be the last major Android update for the OnePlus 3 and 3T.
However this doesn’t mean that OnePlus will be abandoning either handset. Both phones will still receive updates such as security patches from time to time, but don’t expect them to receive the next major Android update, which assuming Google keeps to their naming scheme should be Android P and should be released in 2018.
According to Oliver Z, “Android O is going to be the last Android version update we’ll release for OP3/3T. We’ll continue to release security patch updates for the foreseeable future, and offer support for individual application updates.” That being said, it is unclear when Android O will be officially released. We heard a rumor last week that suggested that it could be this week, but so far we haven’t seen anything.

The problem with a lot of consumer-grade batteries is that they are rigid and fixed in terms of their shape, meaning that there are limitations when it comes to designing products based around them, although we have seen companies try to work around those limitations by creating different shapes or stacking them.
However in the future that may no longer be a limitation because in a paper published by Chem (via The Verge), it seems that researchers have managed to create a battery that is not only flexible, but it can also be powered by saltwater, which in turn could lead to the creation of new types of devices and wearables that don’t necessarily have to conform to traditional battery designs.
In the batteries created by researchers, they found that they were able to fold it in half a hundred times without damaging it. It was also found to be safer because instead of being powered by toxic chemicals, it is powered by relatively harmless liquids such as saltwater and IV rehydration solutions.
So far the researchers have managed to create two versions of the battery: a belt-shaped model and a nanotube. They have also experimented with various solutions, such as sodium sulfate (which is sometimes used as a laxative) and saline, with the former offering the best results based on their tests.

While Nikon might have confirmed that they are working on the Nikon D850 camera, apart from it being a full-frame camera that is the successor to the D810, the company stopped short of sharing the specs and features that we might be able to expect. However thanks to leaked slides, we might know more about the camera already.
The slides were posted in Chinese but a translation by Nikon Rumors has confirmed some of the camera’s specs. For starters the camera will feature a 45.7MP sensor which is in line with the earlier rumors that suggested anywhere between 45-46MP. The slides also confirm a 3.2-inch touchscreen LCD display that can be tilted.
The D850 also appears to be capable of shooting at 9fps when combined with a battery pack, support 8K timelapse capture, 4K video capture, an ISO range of 64 up to 25,600, a 153-point AF system, and a 180,000 RGB sensor. For those most part this is in line with what we’ve heard, although it seems that an earlier report of a hybrid viewfinder could have been false.
There is still no word on when Nikon is expected to fully unveil the D850, but given the leaked specs and the photos, it does seem to suggest that we could be nearing an official announcement, so check back with us in the near future for more updates.

Most of the time the songs we store on our phones are usually songs we want to hear. However when plugging our phones into our cars, most of the time it usually ends up playing the very first song at the top of the list based on alphabetical order, which means that it is possible that some of your favorite songs could be ruined by incessantly repeating it.
However this problem might have been solved by a certain Samir Mezrahi who recently uploaded a 10 minute track onto iTunes (via AppleInsider) dubbed “A a a a a Very Good Song” that basically gives users 10 minutes worth of silence (9 minutes 58 seconds to be exact) so that they can select their own playlist before the song starts blasting in their car.
hey I released a blank song that will play 1st so that *one* song won’t play every time u plug ur phone into ur car https://t.co/FL83YUOOcz

It might seem silly but apparently it is a highly-appreciated track because it appears to have broken into the iTunes Top 50 charts, and has actually beaten out more popular artists. The track costs $0.99 which isn’t too bad of a price to pay for a workaround. We’re not sure if Apple plans to remove the track, but given that Apple does take a cut from iTunes sales, it is an interesting conundrum.
This is actually not the first time silent songs have been used to game the system. For example a few years ago, a band uploaded an album consisting of silent songs onto Spotify and managed to rake in $20,000 in “royalties” before the album was pulled from the music streaming platform.

At the moment it seems that Blizzard is giving all of their franchises some love, save for the Warcraft franchise which seems to have been largely untouched, or at least until more recently when Blizzard announced on the forums that Warcraft 3 will finally be getting its own PTR, and that they will be testing out some multiplayer changes.
According to Blizzard, “Warcraft III’s first official PTR lives. Join us on the field of battle as we test the new Map Pools for 1’s, 2’s, 3’s, 4’s and Free-for-All.” Based on the changelog it doesn’t seem like these changes will be particularly groundbreaking or will impact the game too greatly, but for those who still enjoy the game, this could be a much-welcome breath of fresh air.
We’re not sure if this is the extent of attention that Blizzard will be paying to the game. After all we suppose in a way World of Warcraft is kind of like an extension of the Warcraft franchise, not to mention that even 10 years later is still very much a cash cow. There have been rumors to suggest that a Warcraft 3 remaster could be in the works, and given that Blizzard did announce a StarCraft Remaster earlier this year, it wouldn’t be entirely out of the question.
It is unclear what Blizzard has planned for the RTS portion of the Warcraft franchise. Several years ago the company did state that a Warcraft 4 is something they are interested in, but other than expressing their interest, nothing else was shared.
