“I am just happy he survived and I didn’t eat him,” the woman said.

Moog may have debuted the successor to its Sub 37 analog synthesizer back at Moogfest in May, but that instrument was limited to 2,000 total units. A good chunk of those Subsequent 37 CVs probably didn’t make it out of the music festival last spring….
Much of Sony’s advantage with the PSVR was that it was the cheapest way to get (non-cardboard) virtual reality into your home. Now that Oculus has dropped the price of its bundle, that advantage is evaporating. In response, Sony has added the require…

Survivor’s Eye of the Tiger will always be associated with Rocky III. After all, it was the theme song for 1982 boxing flick, in which Sly throws down with Mr. T. Given its era, it only make sense that the track would sound pretty darned good played on old computer equipment.
Paweł Zadrożniak’s computerized band is known as The Floppotron, and it’s known for playing many hits, using its array of old floppy drives, hard drives, scanners, and other bits of vintage electronic gear. The scanners make for an especially effective lead vocal and guitar track, while the floppies provide harmonies, and the hard drives thrash around as the rhythm section. Check it out:
Be sure to check out Paweł’s YouTube channel for lots of other Floppotron covers. My personal favorites are Europe’s The Final Countdown and Gorillaz’ Feel Good, Inc.
The smart speaker trend appears to have caught on. Many major companies are now working on their own iterations of the product that Amazon can be credited for popularizing. A new FCC filing reveals that Sonos might be working on a smart speaker of its own. One has been spotted at the Federal Communications Commission recently.
It has been rumored for quite some time now that Sonos is working on its own smart speaker. The company already makes some of the best multi-room audio setups found on the market today. It would make sense for the company to jump on the smart speaker bandwagon as well.
The FCC filing doesn’t reveal too many details about the product itself. It reveals that the Sonos product has far-field microphones that are designed to isolate voices inside a room. Far-field microphones are already found in other smart speakers like the Amazon Echo.
The filing also mentions that this product is going to work with “multiple voice platforms and music services.” It remains to be seen which smart assistants this Sonos product is going to have support for. There have been no reports so far suggesting the possibility of Sonos building its own assistant.
Sonos hasn’t confirmed or denied the possibility of launching a smart speaker as yet so it’s unclear when it’s planning to unveil this device.

Apple is yet to confirm when it’s going to conduct the iPhone 8 launch event date. The company has previously unveiled new iPhones in the month of September so there’s a good chance that it will stick with that time frame. A new report today claims that the iPhone 8 launch event date is September 12th. This is in line with previous reports about the official unveiling of the new iPhone.
The Wall Street Journal reports that Apple is going to conduct an event on September 12th in order to unveil the next-generation iPhone. It’s expected to launch three new iPhones at the event – the iPhone 8, iPhone 7s, and iPhone 7s Plus.
Apple itself hasn’t confirmed anything about a September event so far. Whenever it has conducted an event in September, it usually sends out invites to the press about a fortnight before the event itself.
With August drawing to a rapid close, it’s quite likely that we will get to see an official confirmation of the iPhone 7 launch event date from Apple in the very near future.
The September 12th iPhone 8 launch event date has been reported on as well several times over the past couple of weeks. With a major news organization throwing its weight behind the date, many Apple fans would certainly go ahead and mark the date on their calendars.
