Motorola launched the Moto G5S Plus in several markets across the globe. The Lenovo-owned company has confirmed today that this handset will also be launched in the United States. As you would have guessed by now, it’s a slightly improved version of the Moto G5 Plus which was launched earlier this year for $230. Motorola is going to charge the same price for the Moto G5S Plus in the United States.
The updates are minor so they don’t really warrant a price increase. The Moto G5S Plus has a 5.5 inch full HD display and it’s powered by a Snapdragon 625 processor coupled. It’s available in 3GB/32GB and 4GB/64GB configurations, however, the latter is slightly more expensive at $300. There’s a 3,000mAh battery keeping the lights on.
The handset also features dual 13 megapixel rear cameras and an 8 megapixel front camera. Motorola says that the Moto G5S Plus has a “water-repellant” coating, don’t confuse it with water resistance. It probably won’t do very well if you decide to immerse it in water.
The handset runs Android Nougat out of the box. Interested customers can head over to the Motorola website right now and place a pre-order for the Moto G5S Plus. It costs $230 and is unlocked for all major U.S. carriers. It’s going to ship starting September 29th.

It was reported recently that DC is developing two Joker-focused movies. One of the new movies is a film that involves both the Joker and Harley Quinn. Jared Leto and Margot Robbie who portrayed the two characters respectively in Suicide Squad will be returning for this movie. It’s the new standalone origin movie that’s getting a lot of interest from fans these days. Word on the street is that the Joker origin movie script will soon be turned in.
Variety reporter Justin Kroll reports that the Joker origin movie project is moving forward quickly and that the script is likely going to be turned in by next week. The film is yet to be officially announced by DC but this is a good sign that shooting could begin next year.
There are some big names attached to this project. Reports suggest that the iconic filmmaker Martin Scorsese is going to produce this movie with Todd Phillips likely to be in the director’s chair.
Some reports even suggest that Leonardo DiCaprio might get the lead role. Given his history of working with Scorsese, this certainly can’t be ruled out.
More information about this project will likely be confirmed down the line. This is one that fans will anxiously be waiting for.
