There seems to be a new trend in smartphone screens these days. And, no, we’re not referring to the shrinking bezels on smartphones. It’s the trend, or rather the consumer realization, of phones with “shatter-proof” screens make a huge sacrifice in another department, trading scratches for durability. That was true with the Moto Z2 Force and seems to be the … Continue reading

Although VR headsets have more or less settled down around a common set of specs, that doesn’t mean that there’s little motivation for innovation in that space. Screen resolution and field of view are two of the biggest areas for improvement in VR headsets. It’s hard to strike a balance, as shown by the Pimax, billed as the world’s first … Continue reading

We have stated in the past that with every new software release there are bound to be problems that are usually only discovered after being released to the masses. It looks like for the recently-released iOS 11, some issues have already been discovered with sending emails using Outlook.com or Exchange using the Mail app.
It seems that there are users who are encountering an issue when trying to send emails using either service and are greeted by a “Cannot Send Mail” error message. The good news is that it appears that Apple is aware of the problem and are working together with Microsoft to come up with a fix for it.
A post on Apple’s support page reads, “If your email account is hosted by Microsoft on Outlook.com or Office 365, or an Exchange Server 2016 running on Windows Server 2016, you might see this error message when you try to send an email with iOS 11: ‘Cannot Send Mail. The message was rejected by the server.’ Apple is working closely with Microsoft to resolve the issue and will release a fix soon in an upcoming software update.”
In the meantime for users who absolutely have to use these services, you can try logging in through a browser like Safari to send your emails, or alternatively you can try downloading the Outlook app from the iTunes App Store that should circumvent the problem.

Given that different consoles use a different combination of hardware, and with PC configurations being so varied, we can imagine the complexities involved when trying to design a game meant to launch on multiple platforms, and this is an issue that Square Enix is trying to figure out with Final Fantasy XV for the Nintendo Switch.
Speaking to Eurogamer, the game’s director Hajime Tabata revealed that the company was still trying to figure out the best way to bring the game onto Nintendo’s latest console. It was initially speculated that Square Enix might end up bringing the Pocket Edition version of the game onto the Switch, but Tabata’s statements suggest that the company was looking to bring a more full-on experience.
According to Tabata, “We’re actually doing very specific technical investigations into what’s possible at the moment. Where we are at the moment – we’ve completed those tests and have worked out where the ground lies. We’re currently in the middle of the discussion and debate about what we should be doing, and how to realise that on the Switch.”
He also adds, “We can’t currently announce anything – we haven’t come to a full decision on the best way to do it yet. We’re having very open, frank discussions with Nintendo at the moment about what they think is the best thing to do. It’s all under investigation.” Square Enix had previously promised that they will be fully supporting the Switch, with Tabata claiming that the Switch was a “dream machine”.
