Microsoft announced support for Xbox One crossplay at the E3 gaming convention last year. Sony hasn’t really been open to the idea so Xbox One and PlayStation 4 owners aren’t able to play each other online. It appears to be a different story for Epic’s co-op survival game Fortnite. The title has been updated quietly to enable Xbox One and PS4 players to crossplay.
Sony hasn’t really been receptive to the crossplay idea even Microsoft started talking about it last year. It decided against enabling crossplay for both Minecraft and Rocket League even though Microsoft and Nintendo are supporting it across PC, Xbox One, and the Nintendo Switch.
There’s no clarity about this right now. Neither Microsoft nor Sony have confirmed that they’re supporting this. It’s quite possible that this might have been the result of a temporary glitch.
Reddit users have spotted that it’s possible for Fortnite players on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One to play against each other online. However, there’s no statement as yet from Sony or even Epic Games for that matter to confirm that crossplay has been enabled officially.
Hopefully, there will be more clarity about this in the near future. Gamers would certainly want to know if this can be expected from additional titles down the line.

Did you break the screen on your iPhone 6S, iPhone 6S Plus, iPhone 7 or iPhone 7 Plus? If you take it in for a replacement at Apple, you’ll have to spend more than you would have in the past. Apple has raised prices for screen replacements across the board without much fanfare. Screen replacements previously started at $129 for the iPhone 6S.
Bear in mind that customers who don’t have an AppleCare+ warranty plan for their iPhone will have to pay these charges for a screen replacement. Those who have an AppleCare+ warranty program and are within the two year window, their first two screen replacements will cost $29 each regardless of the iPhone model they have.
It merits mentioning here that Apple has also raised AppleCare+ prices for larger models. The iPhone 6S Plus, iPhone 7 Plus, and iPhone 8 Plus customers will now pay $149 from an AppleCare+ warranty plan instead of $129.
Reddit users spotted this change over the weekend. They discovered that Apple has quietly increased the cost of replacing the screen on the aforementioned iPhone models.
It now costs $149 to replace the screen on an iPhone 6S and iPhone 7. Customers who own an iPhone 6S Plus and iPhone 7 Plus will have to pay $169 instead of $149 for a replacement.
The price increase isn’t just limited to the existing iPhone models. Screen replacements for the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus will also cost $149 and $169 respectively. The new handsets will be released to customers later this week.
