Forza Motorsport 7 On Xbox One Weighs Almost 100GB Without 4K Assets

If you’ve been meaning to get your hands on Forza Motorsport 7, you might want to start thinking about clearing up some space on your Xbox One. The Forza team has revealed recently that the title is going to weigh in at nearly 100GB on the Xbox One. The interesting detail here is that this is what the game will weigh in without its 4K assets. One can only imagine where the final number will end up.

The Forza team has confirmed that the on-disc portion of Forza Motorsport 7 will be 45GB. However, a day-one patch will be released on the day the game goes live. This day-one patch is going to be 50GB. This takes the final number up to 95GB.

It’s not going to be a mandatory install, though. Players will be able to play Forza Motorsport 7 from the disc alone. However, the team says that to “experience the true depth and breadth of content in Forza Motorsport 7,” it would be best for players to download the day-one update.

Forza Motorsport 7 is going to be released for the Xbox One come September 29th. The game weighs in at nearly 100GB without the 4K assets. They will land in November when the Xbox One X is released. Only then we’ll find out what the final weight of Forza Motorsport 7 is going to be.

iOS 11 Release Due For These Devices Tomorrow

The next major platform update for iOS is going to be released tomorrow. Apple unveiled iOS 11 earlier this year at its WWDC 2017 conference. The software has been in beta since then and developers have been testing it out. iOS 11 is finally going to be released and the firmware update will be rolling out to the following devices tomorrow.

Apple confirmed the iOS 11 release date at its iPhone event last week. The confirmation ended months of wait for the release date of the next major platform update of its mobile operating system.

Those who own an iPad Air, Air 2, iPad Pro, iPad mini 2, 3, and 4 as well as the iPod touch 6th generation will be able to update their devices to iOS 11 starting tomorrow. All iPhone models from the iPhone 5S and up are support and will receive iOS 11 tomorrow as well.

Apple is going to start rolling out iOS 11 over-the-air tomorrow. It’s going to take a few hours for the update to go live for all users across the globe, and there are hundreds of millions of them.

So even if you don’t immediately see an update notification on your handset, rest assured, it will land on your device as soon as the update goes live in your region.

Huawei Pay U.S. Launch Possible

Huawei has its own mobile payments service that has been limited to China so far but that might be about to change in the near future. A trademark application has surfaced which suggests that Huawei Pay might be heading to the United States. Huawei already filed for an identical “Huawei Pay” trademark in Europe.

The European Union Intellectual Property Office is examining the company’s trademark request. The U.S. Patent and Trademark Office is reviewing it as well. It’s unclear when these bodies will grant approval to Huawei. It may take up to a few months possibly.

Huawei Pay is quite similar to some of the other mobile payments service out there. It relies on NFC technology to process contactless payments on the go. Huawei Pay was introduced in China by the company back in early 2016.

It hasn’t really detailed plans for international expansion but the trademark filings are a big indication that Huawei is thinking about moving into markets that are already seeing intense competition from the likes of Apple Pay, Samsung Pay, and Android Pay.

The company is due to launch its new flagship smartphones next month. Perhaps it might talk more about the roadmap for Huawei Pay in Europe and the United States at its event on October 16th. Huawei hasn’t confirmed or denied expansion plans for Huawei Pay just yet.
