Apple’s forthcoming FaceID technology will support just one face registered per device, at least initially. This has been reported by multiple people who spoke to Apple at this week’s iPhone event, and confirmed separately by TechCrunch, but it’s worth noting because it could change some user behavior regarding the device. Face ID supporting just one face makes a lot of sense… Read More
Along with its other upgrades, the souped-up Xbox One X will come with 4K recording from the get go. Meanwhile, owners of Microsoft’s standard console are still dealing with 720p resolution at 30 FPS. Not to mention the added insult of seeing their b…
While it wasn’t the first handheld game system, the Nintendo Game Boy was the first one that really mattered. Despite the limitations of its green and grey LCD screen, it offered up a smart design, and some truly addictive games.
While you can still pick up a classic Game Boy on eBay starting around $25, it’s not the sort of thing you’re going to carry with you every day. On the other hand, this fun gamer’s wristwatch lets you have a Game Boy on your person all the time.
This officially-licensed Nintendo watch looks exactly like the classic Game Boy, just shrunk down to wrist size. It would have been super cool if they made it play games, but alas it simply tells the time on its LCD screen. The face buttons are just there for show too, and you set the time using a button on its side. Still, it looks neat, and is a fun tribute to a classic gaming system of yore.
If you want one, drop by ThinkGeek, who has the exclusive on these for just $14.99(USD).
Tesla co-founder and CEO Elon Musk has made no secret of the fact that the company is working on an all-electric semi truck. This will be the first vehicle of its kind from Tesla which has previously done roadsters, sedans, and crossovers. Musk has now revealed when Tesla is going to show off its much awaited all-electric semi truck.
It was reported last month that Tesla was planning to unveil its all-electric semi truck in September. Musk reiterated during the company’s second quarter earnings call that the reveal was on schedule. However, the event is now going to take place a little later than originally scheduled.
Musk has confirmed via Twitter that the Tesla semi truck unveil and test ride has been “tentatively scheduled” for October 26th at the company’s Hawthrone facility. He added that it’s “worth seeing this beast in person. It’s unreal.”
It goes without saying that Tesla is only going to be unveiling its all-electric semi truck at this event. There’s no saying how long it’s going to take for Tesla to actually start mass producing them and selling them to customers.
Reports suggest that the semi truck from Tesla is going to promise a range of 300 miles on a single charge. The technical details aren’t public at this point in time so we’ll have to wait until the end of next month to find out for sure.

Mobile technology has come a long way where these days there are phones that feature deca-core processors. That being said, it is also why it doesn’t really come as a complete surprise to learn that our smartphones these days could be as powerful as laptops, which is what appears to be the case with Apple’s new iPhones.
With the new iPhone 8, 8 Plus and the iPhone X, Apple has introduced a new A11 Bionic chipset which for the first time ever in Apple’s A-series of chipsets will come with 6 cores, versus the quad-core in the A10 Fusion, and the dual-core processors found in earlier iPhone models, and recent Geekbench sightings have revealed that the A11 Bionic seems to be on par in terms of performance with the latest 13-inch MacBook Pro models.
According to the Geekbench scores, the A11 saw an average single-core score of 4169 which not only beats the previous A10 and A10X, but also puts it almost on par with the 13-inch MacBook Pro that scored 4592 on single-core tests. This is actually not the first time that we’re seeing Apple’s mobile chipsets start to perform as well as their laptops, as was the case with last year’s A10 Fusion.
Now there might be some who doubt the legitimacy of these tests since benchmarks can be faked/manipulated, but MacRumors has since spoken to Geekbench’s John Poole who believes that the benchmarks are the real deal, so make what you will of them.
