Jaybird Run Wireless Earbuds For Runners Announced

While wireless headphones aren’t exactly new, what seems to be the trend these days, especially during IFA early this month, is that “true” wireless earbuds appear to be the trend. Now it looks like Jaybird is tossing their hat into the ring as the company has officially announced the Jaybird Run.

Jaybird already makes a couple of wireless earbuds, such as the X3 and Freedom, although the way these earbuds were designed is that while they are wireless, they still came with cables that connected the headphones to each other, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing although we guess there are some who might prefer to go completely wireless.

The earbuds will come with a variety of silicone tips to ensure that there will be a pair of tips that will fit your ears nicely. They will also sport fins that will help “lock” them in your ear to prevent them from falling out while you’re out for your run. There are also buttons on either the left or right side of the earbuds where pressing them in a variety of patterns will launch either Siri or Google Assistant, pause or play music, accept phone calls, and so on.

In terms of battery life, the Jaybird Run will offer about 4 hours per charge, but will also come with a charging case that will offer an extra 8 hours. They are priced at $180 and will be shipped this coming October.

Latest iTunes Update Removes The App Store, Focuses On Music

iTunes has typically been Apple’s go-to store for pretty much everything. If you wanted movies, music, podcasts, apps, sync your iOS device, and so on, iTunes was the answer. The one-stop-shop model was convenient, we’ll admit, but if there was one criticism is that iTunes always felt like a very bloated piece of software.

However the good news for iTunes users is that it looks like Apple has made a rather huge decision in the latest update to the software, which is that they have removed access to the iTunes App Store. In the latest update to iTunes, it seems that users will no longer be able to access the App Store. Instead users who want to purchase and download apps will have to do so via the standalone App Store or do it on their iOS or Mac devices.

Instead it looks like the latest update to iTunes will make the app more focused towards music and social sharing features, like with Apple Music where according to Apple, “Members can create profiles and follow each other to see music they are listening to and any playlists they’ve shared.” This will probably take some getting used to, but if you’ve always felt that iTunes was a bit too bloated for its own good, then hopefully these changes will help.
