To date, watching a full-fledged EV racing series has meant watching custom-built Formula E race cars. They’re great to watch, but not exactly reflective of what you can drive on the road. Jaguar aims to fix that. It’s launching the first production-…
Sony’s camera theme over the last year has been “speed,” especially with the arrival of its ultra-fast RX100 V compact. That notion continues today with the launch of the RX10 Mark IV, a 24-600mm f/2.4-f/4 superzoom, which gets a big shooting speed b…

AT&T’s initial offer of free HBO access to wireless subscribers was tempting, but there was a catch: you had to spring for an Unlimited Plus plan, which at $90 or more per month isn’t a trivial expense. Now, however, you don’t have to be such a b…

If a new report is to be believed, LG and Google will be teaming up to promote their smart home products. The report claims that LG is going to offer the Google Home smart speaker for free with some of its smart home appliances in North America. These smart appliances might include air conditioners, washing machines, and refrigerators.
LG and Google have worked together closely in the past as well. The former has manufactured the Nexus 5 and Nexus 5X handsets for Google. They have a history of working together so it won’t be surprising if LG and Google join forces once again.
The report out of South Korea claims that in a bid to increase sales of its smart home appliances in the North American market, LG is going to bundle the Google Home smart speaker with its products.
Customers who purchase any of those products will receive a free Google Home speaker. The promotion is said to go live at some point later this month and will be live until early next month.
This partnership has not yet been confirmed officially by Google or LG so take this report with a grain of salt. We should hear about it from the companies officially, though, if there’s any truth to the report.

Disney already confirmed a while back that Star Wars: Episode IX is going to be released in 2019. It will be the final movie in the new trilogy that started off with Star Wars: Episode VII. It was previously reported that Jurassic World’s Colin Trevorrow was going to direct this movie but we heard recently that he had dropped out of the project. Disney has confirmed the Star Wars: Episode IX director.
It was reported a couple of weeks ago that Disney and Lucasfilm were in talks with JJ Abrams to bring him on as the director. The studio was reportedly trying to work out a deal which would enable Abrams to return.
Abrams previously took the directors gig for Star Wars: The Force Awakens, the movie that started off this new trilogy. It grossed $2.06 billion worldwide, making it the third highest-grossing film of all time.
Disney today confirmed that Abrams will be back in the director’s chair to direct Star Wars: Episode IX. He is also going to co-write the movie with Chris Terrio.
“With The Force Awakens, J.J. delivered everything we could have possibly hoped for, and I am so excited that he is coming back to close out this trilogy,” said Lucasfilm President Kathleen Kennedy.
Star Wars: Episode IX is due to be released on May 24th, 2019.
