Classic Mobile Game ‘Fruit Ninja’ Transformed Into A Tabletop Game

Back in the day when smartphones were still relatively new, games back then were a lot simpler, and for the most part they were designed to show off and take advantage of touchscreens and the various sensors embedded in our devices. One of those games, which is still a classic, is Fruit Ninja.

However it seems that while the game might not necessarily be the most popular mobile game at the moment, it is getting a new lease on life as a tabletop game. Developed by board game maker Lucky Duck, it seems that the company has decided to launch their plans on Kickstarter  where at this time of writing, it has managed to raise over $20,000 which is double that of their original goal of $10,000.

Note that this won’t be a single game, but rather it is being called a series with three titles planned. It seems that Fruit Ninja is being reimagined as a board game where players will play with cards, versus the original game which involved slicing fruit as quickly as you can. However Lucky Duck did state that the games would be unique and fast to play.

We’re not sure how well it will actually play, but color us intrigued! If you are curious and want to learn more and maybe pledge your support, then head on over to its Kickstarter page for the details, or check out the video above for more information.
