Call Of Duty: Black Ops 4 Could Come In 2018

So far it has been without fail that every year we can look forward to a new Call of Duty game. This year we’ll be getting Call of Duty: WWII by Sledgehammer Games, so the question is what can we expect next year? According to a report from GameSpot, it seems that next year’s Call of Duty title could be Black Ops 4.

This is based on analyst group Cowen & Company’s note to investors in which they predict that 2018’s Call of Duty title could be Black Ops 4. It is unclear as to how they arrived at that prediction, but if you did enjoy the previous Black Ops 3 which was released back in 2015, then maybe Black Ops 4 is something to look forward to.

Last year we saw Activision release Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare. The game’s initial trailer was met with massive dislikes by fans and gamers, although ultimately it seems that it might have worked out for them anyway. This year we’re getting a World War II theme, which seems to be Activision’s response to EA’s Battlefield 1 last year that had a World War I theme.

In addition to predicting Black Ops 4, Cowen & Company thinks that Call of Duty: WWII will perform better than Infinite Warfare. Whether or not that will happen remains to be seen, but at least for now WWII’s announcement seems to have been met with much more positivity than its predecessor.

Ed Boon Speaks About Possibly Bringing Injustice 2 On The Switch

There are many great games out there available on the PC, the PS4, and the Xbox One, and we’re sure that there are many Nintendo Switch gamers who would love to see some of those games arrive for the console. Now if you’re a fan of NetherRealm’s Injustice 2 and would like to see it brought onto the Switch, there might be a glimmer of hope.

Speaking to GameSpot, it seems that NetherRealm’s Ed Boon is open to the idea of bringing the game and other NetherRealm titles onto the Switch, although it seems that whether or not it will be worth it is a different story. By that we don’t mean financially (although we guess that does play a role), but rather we’re talking about whether the experience after porting it onto the Switch will make it worthwhile for gamers.

According to Boon, “Yeah, I think at the end of the day you can make almost any game… there are inevitable compromises, but you know, you can make some version of Injustice on the Atari 2600. It’s not going to be great, but I bet you can make something.” However he does admit that the idea of Injustice 2 on the Switch sounds like fun. “From the game player’s perspective, would it be fun to play Injustice on [Switch]? I do think it would. You could have tournaments, everyone comes over with their own system and you can have whole structured tournaments and parallel gameplay and all that.”

Boon goes on to add that if they do, they might require another team or a third-party company to help them with the port. Whether or not this is something they plan to explore in earnest remains to be seen, so maybe don’t get your hopes up just yet, but take comfort in knowing that the door isn’t completely closed.

NVIDIA GeForce Now Beta Is Live For Mac Users

There is a common perception that Mac computers weren’t designed to play games. While Mac computers do come with some pretty good hardware, let’s face it, it clearly was not designed for the hardcore gamer in mind. Sure, the higher-end iMacs and MacBook Pros can run games decently, but its specs differ very greatly from a PC designed for gaming.

However the good news is that soon that might no longer be an issue as long as you have an internet connection. NVIDIA’s GeForce Now has been launched in beta for Mac users which means that if you own a Mac and would like to game on it, you’ll be able to. For those unfamiliar, GeForce Now is NVIDIA’s gaming service that pretty much does all the heavy lifting in processing in the cloud, and then sends the data back to the user’s computer.

In turn this allows gamers on older or less powerful computers to enjoy various games without having to worry too much about hardware specs. Also since this is virtual, Mac users will be able to play PC-only games without the need to install Bootcamp or similar applications. GeForce Now isn’t a new service per se as it was previously launched for NVIDIA’s SHIELD devices.

However earlier this year the service was announced for the PC and Mac. Note that right now GeForce Now beta is only available for Mac computers but it is expected to eventually find its way onto the PC. For more details and to sign up, head on over to NVIDIA’s website.

iPhone With Apple Pencil Support Rumored For 2019

The Apple Pencil is one of the key features of Apple’s iPad Pro tablets, and many have wondered if eventually the day might come where the iPhone could support the stylus. It turns out that it might in the next couple of years, or at least that’s according to a recent report out of Korea by The Investor (via Tech Radar).

According to the report, it quotes one of their sources telling them that Apple could be preparing an iPhone that supports the Apple Pencil as early as 2019. The report also claims that Apple is in talks with various stylus makers for a partnership of sorts, and that Apple could be giving its A-series chipset a major upgrade to better support handwriting features.

This is not the first time that the idea of an Apple Pencil for the iPhone has been floated, although given that the current design of the Apple Pencil for the iPad Pro makes it hard to bring it around, we’re not sure how Apple plans to address this with the iPhone. After all we’re sure that not everyone wants to carry the two devices separately, right?

We’re also not 100% sure if the idea makes sense. Sure, Samsung has seen a lot of success with its Galaxy Note series and the S Pen that accompanies it, but whether or not Apple seems that success as worth following is another story. In any case take it with a grain of salt for now, but what do you guys think? Is an iPhone with an Apple Pencil something you’d like to see in the future?

Marvel has been pretty successful with their movie releases in recent times, so you can imagine that many are also excited to see how Marvel will be able to pull it off with the upcoming Black Panther movie where the movie’s protagonist first made his appearance in Captain America: Civil War.

For those curious about how the show might look like, wonder no more because Marvel has since released the official trailer for the upcoming Black Panther movie. Apple Might Have Patched KRACK Vulnerability In Latest Betas

Recently you might have heard the reports that our WiFi’s WPA-2 might have been hacked which leaves pretty much every device connected on WiFi vulnerable to being attacked. However the good news if you’re an Apple user is that it looks like Apple might have patched the vulnerability on their side of things.

According to a report from AppleInsider, they have been told by their sources at Apple that the company has managed to patch the exploit for the vulnerability in the previous release of betas for iOS, tvOS, watchOS, and macOS. This means that Apple has already addressed the issue and that when the main release for the software is available, all users should probably update to it to keep themselves protected.

However it seems that for hardware devices like Time Machine, AirPort Extreme, and AirPort Express does not have a patch available, and AppleInsider’s sources are unclear if there might be one in the works. If you recall, last year there were reports that Apple was apparently getting out of the router business, so that might explain it, although we hope that Apple will at least offer patches for existing customers for this particular flaw.

Note that Apple has yet to officially confirm if the vulnerability has truly been patched so take it with a grain of salt for now, but given how fast we’re seeing companies such as Microsoft have responded, we wouldn’t be surprised if Apple didn’t already have a solution.

Monopoly Coming To The Nintendo Switch October 31

While the Nintendo Switch might not necessarily be the most powerful console available in the market today, it does offer a different gaming experience compared to the likes of the PS4 or the Xbox One. This is thanks to its portable design and also its controllers, which has allowed developers to create games like Monopoly for the Switch.

If you’re looking to play local multiplayer games while on the move, you might have heard that Monopoly was announced for the Switch earlier this year, and the good news is that we finally have a release date which is currently set for the 31st of October where the game will be available for purchase for $40.

We have to admit that $40 does seem a bit steep, but if you think that the game holds quite a bit of appeal then it’s definitely something to look forward to. For those hearing about the game’s launch on the Switch for the first time, it will allow gamers to play with up to 6 players in total at once locally. Alternatively there is also an online mode where you can play with people from all around the world.

It will also offer up different gaming modes where players can choose from the official House Rules, or they can choose from various Special Goals which will allow players to finish the game in a shorter amount of time.

Canon PowerShot G1 X Mark III Officially Announced

According to the rumors from last month, it was suggested that Canon had a new camera in the works in the form of the PowerShot G1 X Mark III that could be announced this month. It turns out the rumors were right on the money because Canon has since officially taken the wraps off the PowerShot G1 X Mark III.

The camera will feature a 24.2MP APS-C CMOS sensor along with the use of a DIGIC 7 image processor. Similar to its predecessors, the PowerShot G1 X Mark III will be a fixed lens camera and will come with a 24-72mm (35mm equivalent) 3x zoom lens, and given that focal length we reckon it should allow photographers to cover a variety of shots. Its aperture will range from f/2.8 at the widest to f/5.6 at max focal length which is pretty standard, but at f/2.8 we don’t expect you will get the same level of bokeh compared to that of f/1.4 or wider.

It will also come with a built-in EVF, a 3-inch vari-angle touchscreen LCD, dual pixel CMOS AF, image stabilization technology, an ISO range of up to 25,600, 9fps continuous shooting speeds, and there will also be built-in WiFi, NFC, and Bluetooth connectivity. The camera will also offer up dust and water-resistance, so taking it along with you for outdoor shoots should not pose a problem.

If this sounds like a camera you might be interested in getting your hands on, the Canon PowerShot G1 X Mark III will be made available this coming November where it will be priced at $1,299.
