There have been countless reports recently suggesting that OnePlus will soon launch a new smartphone. The company itself has said nothing about the OnePlus 5T so far, but the rumor mill is convinced that this handset is going to be launched in November. A new render of the OnePlus 5T has been leaked online today. It gives us a glimpse of the handset’s slim bezels.
The OnePlus 5T is expected to feature a 6 inch bezel-less display. It would be similar in form to many of the bezel-less displays that we’ve seen on flagship smartphones this year. The display will certainly be one of its biggest selling features.
This latest render of the upcoming device has been leaked by Evan Blass a.k.a @evleaks. He’s been right on many occasions in the past so there’s good reason to believe now that this handset is coming soon.
Given that the handset will feature a bezel-less display, the fingerprint sensor will thus be repositioned at the back. The OnePlus 5T is also expected to feature a slightly updated dual camera system.
OnePlus is yet to reveal any details about this device, however, a recent report suggests that it might be launched officially in the week of November 16th.

Apple started taking pre-orders for the iPhone X last week. There’s significant demand for the new handset and reports still suggest that the quantities will be limited at launch as Apple’s suppliers struggle with yield issues related to crucial components. Now that the first hands-on with the iPhone X is out, it reveals some interesting details about the new handset, such as the fact that the iPhone X lock screen notifications preview will be hidden by default.
Wired published an early hands-on with the iPhone X earlier today and the article reveals some information about the upcoming flagship that hasn’t been detailed before. It’s the minor things that you find when you actually have a new device in your hands.
Apple has made a change to the notification settings for its new iPhone. The iPhone X is going to hide notification previews automatically on the lock screen by default. This option has been offered to iOS users for quite some time but users were required to enable it manually. Those who didn’t know such a feature existed couldn’t take advantage of it.
iPhone X users will have this feature enabled by default so their notification previews won’t shop any details on the lock screen. It’s only after their unlock the handset with Face ID that the notification preview will be displayed in its usual form.

It has long been rumored that Google might allow Chromebook owners to send and receive text messages using their devices but that feature has not yet been released. That might change in the coming months. A new feature has been discovered in the Android 8.1 developer preview that Google launched recently. It’s called SMS Connect and will enable users to send and receive text messages via Chromebooks.
The SMS Connect feature will enable users to send and receive text messages from their phone using the handset’s carrier number on their Chromebook machine. They will also receive notifications on the Chromebook which will alert them to incoming text messages.
This feature was discovered in an APK titled “SMSConnectPrebuilt,” it’s launched through an activity browser and that’s where the setup screen for the SMS Connect feature pops up.
The references to this feature are clear as day in the latest developer preview of Android 8.1. However, even though Chrome OS does have an option to enable SMS Connect, the feature isn’t working just yet. It seems that Google needs to flip a switch behind-the-scenes for this functionality to work.
The references are enough to show that Google has been working on bringing this functionality to Chromebook owners. Whether or not it’s going to make the cut when Android 8.1 is released to the public remains to be seen. Google is yet to say anything about the SMS Connect feature.
