Samsung Apparently Adding A Social Element To Samsung Pay

Would you like your friends and followers on social media to find out what you purchased today using Samsung Pay? If you’ve ever wished for this ability, it appears that Samsung might allow you to do that soon. A new patent listing reveals that the company is building a social element for Samsung Pay. It will enable users to share their Samsung Pay transactions online.

The feature has been patented in South Korea and it’s called Samsung Pay Story. It’s going to let users see a list of all of their previous transactions. That’s good enough but the app will go one step further and let users share their previous transactions to social networks like Facebook.

The feature has been described in the patent filing as a “system for sharing buying experiences.” It’s going to do a good job of spreading the word about Samsung’s mobile payments service on social media. The company has rapidly been rolling it out across the globe and it certainly wants users to bring in their friends and family to the platform as well.

Users will have the option to limit the amount of information that they share about their purchase. So for those who don’t want to list an item’s price, they can share their purchases without mentioning the transaction amount.

It’s unclear at this point in time when the Samsung Pay Story feature is going to be released for the platform.

Hulu Launches New UI And Live TV Service On Samsung Smart TVs

Hulu is gradually expanding its new user interface and standalone live TV streaming service to a wide variety of platforms ever since the service was first announced back in May this year. Samsung’s 2017 smart TVs are next to receive Hulu’s new UI and streaming service.

All of Samsung’s 2017 smart TV models are receiving this update which is going to be available for them the next time they launch the Hulu app on their TVs.

The live streaming service offers news, entertainment, sports, and more. It costs $39.99 per month and also provides acces to Hulu’s entire streaming library.

The app is already available on several different platforms. That includes the Apple TV, iOS, Android, Chromecast, Xbox One, Amazon’s Fire TV and Fire TV Stick, the Nintendo Switch, and even the Xbox 360.

You may have noticed that the PlayStation consoles are not on this list. That’s because they’ve only received the updated user interface and not the live TV streaming service.

That’s because Sony runs its own standalone online TV streaming service called PlayStation Vue so it can’t quite give a competitor space on its own hardware. It’s unlikely that we’ll see Hulu’s live TV streaming service become available on the PlayStation consoles anytime soon.

Microsoft Photos App For Mobile Will Enable Easy Picture Transfer To PC

Microsoft will soon release a new photos app for iOS and Android devices. It’s going to be a companion app that allows users to quickly transfer photos from their iOS and Android devices to their Windows 10-powered PC. The app will be released soon to Windows 10 testers. It will enable them to quickly transfer photos between the device and PC as long as they’re all connected to the same Wi-Fi network.

The OneDrive app already offers similar functionality. It’s capable of uploading photos in the background on the handset and then importing them into Windows 10’s Photos app. However, this app will be for those who don’t want to backup their photos to OneDrive and just want to move them off of their mobile device to their PC quickly.

The Windows 10 Photos app is going to receive some improvements as well. Microsoft will add premium content such as special effects, music, and themes that users will be able to pick for their videos and photos. It may also add stickers for photo stories. All of these features are likely going to be released for members of the Windows 10 Insiders program in a few months.

It hasn’t been confirmed officially at this point in time when this app is going to be released. Since it’s going to be out for testers soon, it may take a few weeks before it’s rolled out to the general public.
