YouTube TV App For Apple TV Delayed

Google’s own standalone online TV streaming service is called YouTube TV. The company has released a full app for the service but its rollout is taking longer than previously anticipated. For example, the YouTube TV app for Apple TV was supposed to be released before the end of this year. The app has now been delayed to 2018.

YouTube TV is a standalone online TV streaming service that’s aimed at cord-cutters. It costs $35 per month and is available in more than 80 markets across the United States. For $35 per month, subscribers get access to cable networks like AMC, ESPN, Fox News, CBS, NBC, ABC, and more. They also get local channels.

The app has already been released for platforms like iOS and Android. It’s also available for TV-connected devices like Chromecast, Android TV, Xbox One, and smart TVs from Samsung and LG. All of these devices, with the exception of Chromecast, use the new YouTube TV app that was released in October.

The YouTube TV app for Roku TV was also supposed to be out before the end of this year. The company has now delayed it as well. YouTube TV for Apple TV and Roku is now expected to be released in the first quarter of 2018.

While the company will eventually launch the app on Apple TV and Roku, a representative for YouTube TV has confirmed that there are no plans to bring the app to the Fire TV or PlayStation platforms.
