A Fully-Specced iMac Pro Will Cost A Whopping $14,000

We already knew that the iMac Pro would not come cheap. When Apple finally announced the computer’s availability, it was also revealed that its starting price was at $4,999, which puts it well beyond the reach of the average computer user. Then again it does pack some impressive hardware and a custom T2 chip for enhanced security.

However what if you wanted all the bells and whistles? How much would would such a setup cost you? If you were to head on over to Apple’s website and configure the computer to its max hardware settings and include all the hardware and software, it will set you back an eye-watering $14,000, or to be more specific, $13,926.98.

No doubt this is an insane amount of money to pay for a single computer, although it does seem to be cheaper than previous estimates which predicted a price tag of $17,000. If you’re also thinking that this might be the most expensive Mac computer ever, think again because according to a 2013 report from Business Insider, a fully decked out Mac Pro would have cost customers a little over $20,000.

We’re not sure who would need such a high-end setup, but for those who do, the iMac Pro is currently available for purchase and is expected to be shipped out by the 27th of December.

Disney Reassures That ‘Deadpool’ Will Remain R-Rated

Following the rumors that Disney was close to buying Fox, the rumors have since been confirmed as Disney has recently announced the deal which is said to be worth $52 billion. What this means is that pending regulatory approval, Disney’s acquisition of Fox will also see some Marvel franchises return to the company (Disney owns Marvel).

This includes titles like X-Men, the Fantastic Four, and Deadpool. Speaking of Deadpool, it was one of the first R-rated superhero movies around and despite it receiving the adult rating, it proved to be a huge success, but will Disney’s acquisition of Fox somehow interfere with the future of the series? Thankfully no, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

In a call with the media following Disney’s massive announcement, Disney’s CEO Bob Iger stated that there are no plans to change Deadpool to make it more family-friendly. According to Iger, “It [Deadpool] clearly has been and will be Marvel branded. But we think there might be an opportunity for a Marvel-R brand for something like Deadpool. As long as we let the audiences know what’s coming, we think we can manage that fine.”

That being said, it’s probably still a bit too early to tell what Disney has planned with their acquisition and for franchises like X-Men and the Fantastic Four, but given what a massive flop the previous Fantastic Four movie was, we wouldn’t be surprised if Marvel already had a script prepared and tucked away somewhere for such an eventuality. In the meantime Deadpool 2 is currently set for a release on the 1st of June, 2018.

Skype Introduces ‘Interviews Scheduler’ Feature

Skype’s video calls are useful for all kinds of situations, whether it be to catch up with friends and family while abroad, speaking to loved ones like your children, holding office/group meetings, and so on. It can and has also been successfully used to interview potential job applicants who might be from out of town or overseas.

This is why Skype has introduced a new feature in the form of an interview scheduler. According to Skype’s announcement, “Today, a new integrated scheduling app—built on the Skype Interviews platform—significantly streamlines the interview scheduling process. Introducing Skype Interviews Scheduler, designed to simplify the process of scheduling interviews—as well as reduce the number of steps required to send an invite. With an embedded interview link, candidates can launch an interview directly from their calendar.”

Basically all the user has to do is to enter in the person’s name and their name, email address, and the agreed upon time and date. They can then schedule it using the Smart Scheduler which will help arrange an interview, and once the time slots have been selected, users can then choose to accept or decline the invitation.

According to Skype, “After the candidate selects a timeslot, each participant is automatically sent a calendar invite, which they can click to join the interview directly from the email. No download or Skype ID is required to join. From the Skype Interviews dashboard, recruiters can see what times candidates have selected and make further amendments to interviews if needed.” For more information you can head on over to the Skype Interviews website.
