Samsung has just revealed three new Samsung Notebook 9 models for the 2018 year, the trio arriving in both 13.3-inch and 15-inch versions. Joining the three new models is the Samsung Notebook 9 Pen, a lightweight 2-in-1 model with a 360-degree hinge and an included S Pen stylus. Unlike the other models, the Notebook 9 Pen is made with a … Continue reading
Last year Samsung’s Notebook 9 laptop kept it simple with a standard thin-and-light design that got the important things right, but didn’t sport flashy features like a high-res display or hybrid design. Earlier this year the Pro edition added a foldi…
If you’re a photographer who owns or has dabbled with interchangeable lens cameras like DSLRs or mirrorless cameras, then you know how annoying it is whenever you misplace a lens cap. This means having to spend more money, and in the meantime it could also mean that your lens glass could get scratched.
However the folks at KUVRD have launched a Kickstarter project for an accessory they’re calling the Universal Lens Cap (ULC for short). This is a lens cap that has been designed to fit pretty much every/any lens out there, regardless of shape or size. This is versus current lens caps which you’ll have to buy different caps for different lenses.
Apart from being able to fit just about any lens out there, it has also been designed to stay securely fastened to your camera lens. If you’ve seen existing camera lenses, then you know how flimsy they can be, and how sometimes accidentally knocking against it could shake it loose.
This is where we also want to point out how the ULC has also been designed to protect your lens, not just from having the glass scratched, but also by protecting it against the elements as it is both water and dirt proof, and it is also shock absorbent. The ULC is priced at $30 for a single unit, or $45 for two, $60 for three, and so on.

If we were to look back a few years ago, Nintendo’s stance regarding mobile games was pretty clear, and that was they had no interest in creating games for smartphones. However fast forward to today, not only has Nintendo released games on mobile which includes popular franchises like Mario, but apparently they are looking to ramp up development.
This is according to a report from The Wall Street Journal (via GameSpot) in which the publication claims that Nintendo is looking to work with more mobile game developers to create more games. Apparently the company believes that by working with more developers, they’ll be able to release more games quickly, although it seems that they’re not really looking for the same level of partnership/investment that they have with their current partner, DeNA.
Just last month Nintendo announced their plans to release as many as 2-3 mobile games a year. So far Nintendo’s mobile releases have been somewhat mixed. While most of them have received generally positive reviews, they don’t seem to have the same lasting power that other more popular mobile titles have.
For example while Super Mario Run was considered one of Google’s most popular new games of 2017, the game did not rake in as much money as Nintendo would have liked, especially when you consider how universally-recognized Mario is.

So from what we can tell based on Nintendo’s official announcement, is that the Nintendo Switch is a success, selling 10 million units worldwide in less than a year. This is why it doesn’t really come as a complete surprise to learn that over in South Korea, the Switch is doing pretty well for itself as well.
According to a post on Reset Era (via Nintendo Everything), it is reported that in South Korea, the Nintendo Switch sold more than 55,000 units in just three days. This beat out the likes of other Nintendo product launches, like the Nintendo DS, 3DS, and even the Wii which was considered one of Nintendo’s success stories.
Apparently it not only beat the first week launches, but also the month sales as well of the devices. Note that unlike most markets around the world, the Switch was not made available in South Korea at launch, and that it had only launched earlier this month, which meant that they had to wait a good 9 months.
However it seems that despite having to wait nearly a year, gamers in Korea appear to be pretty enthusiastic about the console, if the sales figures are anything to go on.
