Rockstar confirmed in October last year that it was developing a sequel to Red Dead Redemption which was released back in 2010. It originally said that the game is going to be released in fall 2017 but that didn’t happen. Rockstar later confirmed that it had delayed the game’s release to 2018. Now, it appears that a retailer has possibly revealed the Red Dead Redemption 2 release date.
Red Dead Redemption 2 is a Western drama much like its predecessor so there’s going to be no shortage of grit. Rockstar recently released a new trailer which gave us an idea of what to expect from the story.
The title is going to be the story of outlaw Arthur Morgan and the Van der Linde gang as they survive in the vast and rugged heart of America by robbing, fighting, and stealing.
CoolShop, a Danish retailer, has possibly revealed the Red Dead Redemption 2 release date. Its listing for the title mentions a June 8th, 2018 release date for both the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
It’s not uncommon for retailers to use placeholders in their listings but it merits mentioning here that this retailer has previously revealed the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One ports of Grand Theft Auto 5 before their official announcement. So it can’t be ruled entirely that that CoolShop has some information about the title’s release.
Rockstar is yet to confirm the release date officially, though. It hasn’t confirmed anything beyond the generic 2018 timeframe.

Google and Amazon have been involved in a feud for a few months and it seems that the users have been the real losers in this battle. It started three months ago when YouTube yanked its programming from the Echo Show which subsequently led to Amazon stopping sales of the Nest E Thermostat, Nest Secure alarm, and the Nest Camera IQ. YouTube confirmed earlier this month that it would pull support for the Echo Show immediately and for the Fire TV starting January 1st, 2018. It appears that YouTube has been deactivated on the Fire TV ahead of schedule.
Fast Company reports that YouTube has been turned off on Amazon Fire TV devices four days before schedule. Amazon is now redirecting users looking for YouTube to its Silk browser or Firefox if they have it installed. For those who are unaware, Mozilla recently released Firefox for Fire TV devices.
While YouTube had said that the app won’t be removed from Fire TV until January 1st, it has happened today. It’s unclear at this point in time if it’s Google or Amazon who yanked the app. Neither company has commented on this development as yet.
It can’t be said for sure if and when Google and Amazon will be able to sort this out so that users can just use the YouTube app in peace. For what it’s worth, Amazon is reportedly thinking about launching its own YouTube rival.

It has been officially confirmed that the online services of the PlayStation 3-exclusive Gran Turismo 6 will be shut down on March 28th, 2018. That’s not all. The distribution of downloadable content that can be used in the game is being ceased as well. This doesn’t mean that Gran Turismo 6 players will no longer be able to play the game in singleplayer mode.
The distribution of downloadable content for the game is going to end on January 31st, 2018. The DLC is going to be usable offline but players must down it before January 31st otherwise they will not be able to get their hands on it. Then on March 28th at 12:00 UTC, the online services of this PlayStation 3-exclusive title are going to end.
What this means is that players will no longer be able to use online services like Open Lobby, Community, Quick Match, and Seasonal Events. The offline portions of the game will remain unaffected and can still be played after the end period.
Players who deleted their game data after purchasing credits from the GT Store should install/redeem the credits again before the end of the online service so that they’re available in-game. It will not be possible to do this after the online services are shut down.
It has also been confirmed that the distribution of the GT6 Track Path Editor app for Android and iOS will also end on March 28th. After that, it won’t be possible to transfer track data created with the app to Gran Turismo 6.

With an excellent library and a pretty decent price point, the SNES Classic Edition definitely has a lot going for it. Absent from that list of great things are suitably long controller cables, which was also a problem with its NES-flavored predecessor. Though you’d think Nintendo would have gotten the memo by now, it still shipped the SNES Classic Edition … Continue reading
