2018 has already begun but it seems that HMD Global isn’t yet read to show all its Nokia cards yet. Well, aside from the Nokia 6 (2018), which is practically an upgraded Nokia 6, if that weren’t obvious from the name. But unlike that, the Nokia 7’s “upgrade” won’t be like that. Which is probably why HMD isn’t appending a … Continue reading
Camera app mods are the new fad in Android after launchers and ROMs. With Google making near-exclusive features available only for its own phones, the desire and demand for ports for other phones have only become greater. Google Camera HDR+ has been one of the more popular ones that has even been branched off for other devices. Now another “spin” … Continue reading

So we have been hearing about how Fujifilm might have a new camera in the works in the form of the X-H1, and a recent rumor has pegged a potential release date for the 14th of February. However according to a report from Fuji Addict, it seems that a new potential announcement date could be had in the form of the 16th of February.
This is because of an invite that The Camera Store TV has recently sent out in which they are inviting some to attend a film screening sponsored by Fujifilm. The film in question is said to be recorded by an unannounced equipment, and presumably the event will also make for a great opportunity for the company to announce the X-H1, which we can only assume was used to make the film.
Now it is possible that the previous date is still correct. Fujifilm could announce the camera on the 14th of February, followed by a screening at The Camera Store TV to further show off what the camera is capable off, so we wouldn’t rule out either date yet, but it should probably still be best to take it with a grain of salt.
For those learning about the X-H1 for the first time, this is a new camera from Fujifilm that is said to be focused towards videographers. It will include several videographer-specific tools and features that they might appreciate, such as 4K video capture and in-body image stabilization, which is apparently a feature that could be exclusive to the X-H1 for a while.

Apple’s HomePod speakers are currently available for pre-order with a release date set for the 9th of February. However apart from touting the speaker’s quality and some basic functions, not much is known about the HomePod save for the fact that it won’t work with any other music streaming service save for Apple Music.
It has also left users with a lot of questions, such as whether or not they’ll be able to access their iCloud Music Library using the speakers. The good news is that according to a tweet by iMore’s managing editor Serenity Caldwell (via MacRumors), it has been confirmed that HomePod users with iTunes Match and Apple Music subscriptions can access their iCloud Music Library via Siri.
Okay, got some HomePod clarification: iTunes Match *and* Apple Music users can access their iCloud Music Library via Siri. 🎊
— Serenity Caldwell (@settern) January 28, 2018
For those who aren’t subscribed or savvy to Apple’s various services, iCloud Music Library is basically where users can upload up to 100,000 songs from their personal library, where it will match against the iTunes Store catalogue. This will not eat into the standard iCloud storage plan, and is part of the iTunes Match and Apple Music subscription.
Note that this is only applicable to the user whose iCloud account is linked to the HomePod speaker, which means that if that user does not have iTunes Match or Apple Music, then they can’t use that feature. They will still be able to play music that they have bought via iTunes, stream podcasts, and also access the Beats 1 radio program. In any case we expect more details will be revealed once the speakers have gone up for sale, so check back with us in the coming week for updates.

For fans of Blizzard’s Overwatch and who also plan on collecting the various toys of the game, you will be pleased to learn that the game is about to get more collectibles via Funko. This was announced on Funko’s website in which the toymaker announced five new toys that will be coming to its collection.
This includes Junkrat, Mercy, Zarya, Sombra, and Zenyatta. There will also be a 6-inch version of Roadhog for those who don’t mind adding a larger figurine to their collection. In terms of pricing, this information was not mentioned but presumably they shouldn’t deviate too far from the regular Funko toys, save maybe for the larger 6-inch Roadhog which should be slightly more expensive (but not by that much).
For those who did not know, there are actually several Funko toys based on Overwatch that have been released in the past, but these newly announced ones will be adding to that lineup, which presumably should cover Overwatch’s entire roster. In addition to Funko, Japan’s Goodsmile Company has also announced their own lineup of Nendoroid figurines which can also be bought via Blizzard’s website.
So if you’re a collector then these new toys could be worth checking out, although we reckon it’s going to end up being a bit of an expensive hobby.
