If the rumors are right about a Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 remastered, the game could be launched towards the end of April, 2018. This means that if Activision were to announce the game, it should be soon, which is what is being speculated after Activision Editorial Manager Kevin Kelly teased it.
According to reports, it seems that Kelly teased that Activision will be making a big announcement this month, which will most likely take place this week given that we are in the final week of March. While Kelly did not dive into details, many are speculating that it could be the rumored Modern Warfare 2 Remastered.
However Kelly seemed to dampen our hopes of a Modern Warfare 2 Remastered when he later commented, “I did not say CoD players will be happy, about the announcement. Because it is not CoD related – or is it? [laughs]. I will say no more, you will find out very soon.” It could be a tease or it could be something else entirely. After all Activision is a pretty big name and has many games besides Call of Duty under their belt.
So far details about the game are scarce, although a recent rumor has suggested that it might be a single-player only game. Take it with a grain of salt for now but hopefully we’ll have something official this week.

The folks at Rockstar have recently rolled out an update to GTA Online dubbed “Southern San Andreas Super Sport Series”. This update was rolled out last week and introduce some new features and content to the game. Unfortunately it seems that the update might have a bug that is causing PC players to be banned.
This ban might be uncalled for as it seems that Rockstar’s anti-cheat system might have detected behavior that might be considered cheating when in reality there wasn’t. A post on Reddit reads, “Rockstar’s anticheat seems to have truly failed, as, according to a post in the GTA online discord, a user using their own anticheat detected everyone else in their session was a modder.”
Naturally when players get banned most of the time they will protest it, but in this case as Polygon points out, the number of players getting banned would seem to suggest that maybe something could be wrong with the system that is causing a high number of players to be banned wrongly.
The “good news” is that the ban only seems to last for 30 days and isn’t permanent, which means that players will eventually be able to play again. Whether or not they want to is a different story. Presumably many have since appealed to Rockstar to look into the issue but so far the developer has yet to comment on it.
