If you’ve been using the Facebook app on Android for quite some time, it’s possible that the social network has records of every call and text you made these past years — though it’s not as bad as it sounds. It was software developer Dylan McKay who…
There may have been a lot of hype surrounding the iPhone X when it was launched late last year but multiple reports have surfaced in recent months suggesting that the new flagship hasn’t sold as well as the company might have hoped. There have even been reports about Apple cutting the production of its new flagship due to declining demand. A fresh report claims that Apple is now planning a new color option for the iPhone X in a bid to reignite sales.
Launching new color options several months after a flagship has been released to regain sales momentum is a trick that smartphone manufacturers have long used so it really wouldn’t be surprising if Apple goes ahead and does the same thing.
Macotakara reported earlier this morning that Apple is going to launch a new color option for the iPhone X soon as it seeks to “restore sales” of the flagship. The report doesn’t really offer any details about this new color option, though.
It only mentions that Apple is doing this “for the purpose of restoring sales of iPhone X.” It doesn’t even say when we can expect this new color to arrive. This report follows a similar claim made several weeks ago which suggested that a “bluish gold” hue was being prepared for the iPhone X. A (PRODUCT)Red version of the iPhone X is also believed to be in the pipeline.
It’s not like the iPhone X can’t do with a fresh coat of paint. It’s only available in space gray and silver color options so it would be nice for customers to have more choice.

Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk was apparently not aware that his companies had Facebook pages. You may have heard about the #deletefacebook challenge on Twitter that was started in response to the data leak controversy that has ensnared the world’s largest social media network. One of Musk’s followers tweeted at him to delete the pages and they were down within 20 minutes.
Musk responded to a tweet calling on him to delete the official Elon Musk, Tesla, and SpaceX Facebook pages in support of the #deletefacebook movement. His initial response was that he wasn’t aware that the pages existed and then had them all taken down merely 20 minutes after he seemed to have come to know of their existence.
It’s not like these were dormant pages to begin with. The Tesla and SpaceX pages had more than 2.6 million Likes and Follows each prior to being taken down with engagement rates that would make many page owners blue with envy. He didn’t stop there. The Facebook page for Solar City, a company owned by Tesla, has been taken down as well.
Even though the Facebook Pages have been taken down, SpaceX, Tesla, and Musk himself maintain a presence on Instagram which is owned by Facebook. It remains to be seen whether or not they’ll give up on this platform as well.

When Electronic Arts decided to shut down Visceral Games not too long ago, it came as a blow to those who were keeping their fingers crossed for an open-world Star Wars game. There had been reports about the game’s development and it felt that the title could eventually be out for fans. A new job listing has been spotted which suggests that even though it shut down Visceral Games, EA might not have shelved the idea after all.
EA Vancouver is looking to hire a lead online engineer who will be responsible to “lead a team to deliver online features for a Star Wars open-world project” and to make sure that designs “maintain high-traffic services for multi-platform games.”
The job listing suggests that the new online open-world Star Wars title will be similar to the likes of Sea of Thieves and Destiny. The listing confirms an earlier statement made by EA’s Patrick Söderlund who said that an online approach would be adopted for the title to give players an incentive to keep coming back. He had also confirmed when Visceral Games was shut down that this project was being moved over to EA Vancouver.
EA is yet to confirm, though, when it’s going to provide more details about this title. One can only hope that it will have more to share about the open-world Star Wars game at the upcoming E3 2018 gaming convention in June.

Popular classified advertisements website Craigslist has sections devoted to housing, jobs, services, and even dating. However, the “personals” section has often been used for ads that promote prostitution and child sexual abuse. Craigslist has now taken down this section in the United States after a new bill against sex trafficking was passed into law.
Craigslist has shut down its dating ads section in the United States in response to the new law which states that websites can be punished if they facilitate prostitution and sex trafficking. It felt that it was too much of a risk keeping this section open in the United States.
It did observe that the new law is going to “subject websites to criminal and civil liability when third parties (users) misuse online personals unlawfully,” adding that while any tool or service can be misused, Craigslist can’t take such a risk without putting all of its other services in jeopardy.
The Allow States and Victims to Fight Online Sex Trafficking Act was passed into law by the U.S. Congress this month and it applies to all states in the country. It imposes prison terms and fines on those who run or own a website that facilitates prostitution. Reddit, another popular online community, also decided to ban the escorts message board after this bill became law.

There have been some reports recently suggesting that Apple is going to release an iPhone SE 2 later this year. There’s no concrete evidence available so far to support the theory and many still believe that reports about this handset are incorrect. If you’re in the former camp then you’d probably place your faith in the latest iPhone SE 2 report which claims that this handset will be manufactured exclusively in India.
A new report claims that the new iPhone SE is going to be manufactured and assembled exclusively in India. It’s not impossible for this to happen as Apple started manufacturing iPhones in India last year, however, only a certain percentage of all iPhone SE units are manufactured there. Most of the manufacturing is still done in China.
Just because it’s possible that this could happen doesn’t mean it would. Apple only makes the iPhone SE in India because the country imposes import tariffs on such devices. It wanted to compete in the local market on price and could only do that when its affordable model was being locally produced.
It wouldn’t make much sense for Apple to manufacture the iPhone SE 2 in India only and then export it to other markets particularly when its Chinese partners can do that more efficiently in their existing facilities in the People’s Republic where the bulk of Apple’s products are already produced.
So it would probably be best to take reports about the iPhone SE 2 with a heavy dose of salt until there’s more to go on.
