Alleged New OnePlus 6 Spec Sheet Leaked

Based on the success that OnePlus has been experiencing with their smartphones, it is expected that in the coming months the company will launch the OnePlus 6, the successor to last year’s OnePlus 5T. Now thanks to a leaked spec sheet, the alleged details of the upcoming phone have been revealed.

For the most part the specs of the OnePlus 6 don’t come as a surprise. Given that this will be a flagship phone, its use of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset is almost to be expected. It also appears to sport 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, and a 3,450mAh battery. Its camera also seems to be similar to its predecessor where it will sport a 20MP + 16MP combo with an aperture of f/1.7. Its front-facing camera on the other hand has been upgraded to a 20MP shooter.

As for the display, we’re looking at a 6.28-inch AMOLED display with a QHD resolution. While the resolution has been maintained, it appears that the OnePlus 6 will have a slightly larger display than the OnePlus 5T. The spec sheet doesn’t mention anything else about the phone, such as whether it will use a fingerprint sensor, facial recognition, or what version of Android it will run on. However chances are given that this will be a new phone, we can assume Android 8.0 Oreo at the very least.

Also based on an earlier leak, the OnePlus 6 is rumored to cost $749. Take it with a grain of salt for now but hopefully we’ll have more details soon.

Samsung Galaxy Note 9 Could Come With Support For 5G

At the rate carriers are planning on rolling out 5G coverage, it probably won’t be too long until 5G starts becoming the new standard that replaces 4G LTE internet on our phones. However the next problem is the availability of 5G smartphones where there aren’t many, if any, options available at the moment.

However for those who don’t mind holding out until the later part of the year, you might be interested to learn that a report out of Korea (via The Android Soul) has indicated that Samsung could be bringing 5G support to the Galaxy Note 9. The report claims that Samsung will turn to the use of HRC antennas instead of using LDS, which is what they have been using.

What this means is that the phones could be equipped to support 5G, although the next question is whether or not the modem that will be included in the phone will support it. Samsung’s interest in 5G is readily apparent as the company just last month demonstrated a prototype 5G tablet.

However according to the rumors, Samsung’s 5G modem for its Exynos chipsets are only expected to arrive in 2019, meaning that there’s a chance we might not see it this year. Either way it’s probably best taken with a grain of salt for now, but if you think you can hold off on buying a new smartphone, maybe you could consider waiting and seeing if the rumors hold true.

Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 Could Already Be In The Works

So far every year Activision has released a new Call of Duty game. This year it has already been confirmed that it will be Black Ops 4, but what about 2019? While it might be a bit early to think about it given that Black Ops 4 has yet to be officially revealed, it seems that we might already know what Activision has planned for 2019.

This is according to the social media profile pages of voice actor Craig Fairbrass where recently the actor updated his Twitter page to state that he has worked on Modern Warfare 1, 2, 3, and 4. Given that Modern Warfare only has three installments so far, this seems to suggest that in 2019 we could be looking at Modern Warfare 4.

With Activision giving different development studios the task of developing a Call of Duty game every year, it is possible that multiple Call of Duty titles could be in development at once. Black Ops 4 will be developed by Treyarch while Modern Warfare 4 is expected to be developed by Infinity Ward.

That being said, Fairbrass has since responded to the speculation where he suggests that it is “confusion” and “over reaction”. It is possible that when he wrote “4” in Modern Warfare, he might have referred to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered. Either way we’re probably too far off to know for sure so take it with a grain of salt.

Apple Pay, Google Pay Now Accepted At The Church Of England

As the rest of society gets even more hi-tech, we suppose it is inevitable that even religion catches up. For example at one point WeChat allowed users to pay for prayers, so we guess it isn’t surprising that the Church of England is now accept more modern payment methods like Apple Pay and Google Pay when it comes to receiving donations.

According to a report from the BBC, it appears that the Church of England has been conducting trials where they are accepting Apple Pay and Google Pay for donations. They believe that this should appeal to younger churchgoers who might not carry as much cash around due to the rise in contactless payment systems such as the ones mentioned above.

However while it might be an interesting idea, there are some who believe this could slow down the donation collection process. This makes sense because it is a lot faster to drop notes or coins inside a box, versus taking your phone or credit card out, launching the app, and then tapping the terminal. Plus there is also the issue of service charge.

However despite some potential disadvantages, Reverend Margaret Cave from Christchurch in East Greenwich seems to be pretty chuffed with the system. “It’s really great. I’m going to keep it. It makes us feel like we’re part of the 21st century, and we can take payments in a safe and secure way. As a vicar, I also know we don’t have cash floating around.”
