Deadpool 2 Test Screenings Score Higher Than Its Predecessor

Following the success of the first Deadpool movie, many are no doubt hyped to see what the sequel will be able to deliver. However the problem with sequels is that sometimes the hype behind them might not live up to expectations, but apparently that is not the case with Deadpool 2.

According to a report from The Hollywood Reporter, it seems that the test screenings for Deadpool 2 have done extremely well. The movie is said to have earned a score of 98 in one of its final tests. The movie was tested three times with the first test earning it 91, followed by 97, and with the third and final test, two separate cuts were shown where one received a score of 98 while the other got a 94.

It is said that the final release will be using the version that scored 98, which we guess makes sense. There were some rumors that Deadpool 2 had tested poorly and that they movie was going to go for reshoots, but this was later dispelled and the reshoots were said to simply include more scenes with Cable and Domino as opposed to fixing any problems it might have had.

However whether or not these test scores are an indication that the sequel will live up to the hype remains to be seen, but we should find out in the next couple of months as Deadpool 2 is currently set for a release on the 18th of May.

Hori Joy-Con With ‘Proper’ D-Pad Unveiled, Set For July Release

When it comes to certain games, using more classic controllers sometimes has a better feel to it. This is why arcade-style fight sticks tend to be favored in competitions. The good news is that if you’re a Nintendo Switch gamer who loves their fighting games but aren’t a fan of the joysticks on the Joy-Cons, you’re in luck.

In a report from Famitsu (via Nintendo Life), it looks like Hori will be launching its own Joy-Con controller. However this controller is only for the left side of the console, but one of the highlights is the fact that it will feature a “proper” D-pad which is a good alternative to arcade fight sticks. The fact that the Switch is portable also helps add to its appeal, meaning that if you don’t want to lug around a separate controller, this could do in a pinch.

However there is a catch and that is unlike the regular official Joy-Con, Hori’s version will not come with motion-sensing, which means that for some games that require motion sensing, you won’t be able to use Hori’s Joy-Con. However like we said, it is ideal for fighting games which means that gamers probably won’t mind as much.

The Joy-Con will be released in July in Japan where it will cost 2,678 yen. No word on whether or not it will find its way to the US or other markets, but given that Hori does sell its accessories globally, it is possible.

Reddit Bans Communities From Trading/Selling Firearms

Recently YouTube announced a change in their policies where videos that sell guns or provide links to websites that sell guns will be banned. It looks like YouTube is not alone in trying to cut down the accessibility to guns because in a post on Reddit in an update on their policy, the self-proclaimed front page of the internet is also banning the sales of firearms.

The announcement of this updated police not only covers firearms, but will also cover ammunition, explosives, drugs (including alcohol and tobacco), paid services that involve physical sexual contact, stolen goods, personal information, and falsified official documents or currency.

Reddit also adds a reminder to its users that their platform is not intended to be used as a marketplace. “When considering a gift or transaction of goods or services not prohibited by this policy, keep in mind that Reddit is not intended to be used as a marketplace and takes no responsibility for any transactions individual users might decide to undertake in spite of this. Always remember: you are dealing with strangers on the internet.”

There is a lot of debate going on these days with regards to the topic of gun control. We doubt that this is a debate that can ever be resolved, at least not anytime soon, but in the meantime it looks like platforms like Reddit and YouTube are trying their best to make them less visible.

Facebook’s Video App Launches On The Xbox One

While consoles like the Xbox One are known primarily for gaming, it can also be used for entertainment and social purposes. The good news is that if you wanted more ways to use your Xbox One besides gaming, you’ll be pleased to learn that the Facebook Video app for the Xbox One has been launched.

For those unfamiliar, the Facebook Video app is where users can watch videos that have been uploaded onto Facebook. In a way the idea behind Facebook Video is to be like YouTube, where users can find videos uploaded by their friends or Pages that they follow. Also based on your interests and personal preference, users will be able to discover new videos, along with live videos that are popular and ongoing.

This should provide a nice break for gamers who might want to take a break from gaming, and instead of turning away from the TV and to their computers or smartphone, the Facebook Video app will let them watch videos on their TV from the same console, giving users the added convenience which should no doubt aid with its adoption.

The app should already be live so if you have the Xbox One, head on over to the Microsoft Store to get your hands on it.

Jabra Elite 65e Earbuds Launched With Active Noise Cancellation

Jabra is a company that some of you might be familiar with when it comes to audio products, and if you are a fan of their offerings or are simply in the market for a new set of headphones, the company has recently announced its latest headphones in the form of the Jabra Elite 65e. These are a pair of wireless behind-the-neck earbuds with built-in active noise cancellation.

These days wireless earbuds are starting to become more common than ever, thanks largely to smartphone makers who are slowly starting to ditch the headphone jack on their phones. This means that customers who buy some of the newer models means that they’ll have to start looking for wireless headphones if they don’t want to have to deal with dongles.

With the Elite 65e, Jabra is bringing active noise cancellation to its earbuds and are also boasting higher-quality voice calls thanks to its built-in three-mic array. Jabra is also promising that users will get as much as 8 hours worth of battery life, and will also feature IP54 certification meaning that it will be both dust and water resistant.

They will pair with your device over a Bluetooth 5.0 connection and will be available this April. However they will not come cheap as they will be priced at $199, but we suppose if you need the noise cancellation feature and also the IP54 rating, then perhaps its price could be justified.
