Nintendo Switch Datamine Reveals Pokemon Remasters & Zelda Games

So with a Nintendo Direct and Nindies Showcase out of the way, it seems that we already know what games for the Nintendo Switch have been confirmed. But what about the ones that are still in the works? Obviously those haven’t been announced, but a recent datamine might have revealed some potential new titles.

This datamine was shared with the folks at LetsPlayVideoGames.com, although they note that the data was actually posted on Reddit about a month ago but there wasn’t much response about it. According to LPVG, what makes the datamine seem somewhat credible is the fact that games such as Mario Tennis Aces and Mark of the Ninja: Remastered were part of it, both of which have since been officially confirmed by Nintendo themselves.

Also based on the datamine, it appears that there could be several Pokemon remasters headed onto the Switch, such as Pokemon Chemical and Nuclear. Given that the Switch is expected to get its own Pokemon RPG in the near future, we wouldn’t be surprised if Nintendo were to bring older Pokemon games onto the Switch as well.

The datamine also hints at Zelda remasters, like Spirit Tracks HD as well as a new title called “A Link Across Islands” which seems to be in a similar vein to other titles like “A Link To The Past” and “A Link Between Worlds”. There also seems to be mention of Overwatch and Fortnite Battle Royale, but since all of this isn’t official information, it should best be taken with a grain of salt for now.

Facebook Messenger Group Chats Just Got More Manageable

Group chats can get unwieldy especially if you have a lot of people in the group. It gets even messier when there are no admin controls where users can add other users whenever they please. However the good news for Facebook Messenger users is that it looks like that platform is gaining new group admin tools.

With the update to the platform, group chats on Messenger will now feature admin privileges. This will act the same way as other message apps and platforms where an admin has the final say on who gets in and who gets kicked out of group chats. They also get the ability to promote other users to admin if they need a bit more help.

The update will also feature joinable links which will let users join the chat at a click of a link. This can be useful when you’re trying to organize an event and don’t have everyone’s contact to add them to the chat, and creating a joinable link solves that problem. The link lets them join directly or they might have to wait for an admin approval depending on how you setup the group chat.

The update should already be live so if you are a frequent user of Messenger and participate in group chats, these new tools could be worth taking a look at.
