Steven Spielberg Confirms Indiana Jones 5 Will Begin Filming In 2019

Previously it was indicated that the fifth installment in the Indiana Jones franchise will begin filming in 2019, but for those wondering if it is true, director Steven Spielberg has confirmed that Indiana Jones 5 will begin filming next year. However exactly what the story will be about remains to be seen.

Speaking at the Rakuten TV Empire Awards, Spielberg was quoted as saying, “It’s always worth the trip when I get to work with this deep bench of talent coming out of the UK. The actors, and the crew, the chippies, the sparks, the drivers — everybody who has helped me make my movies here, and will continue helping me make my movies here when I come back in April 2019 to make the fifth Indiana Jones movie right here.”

It is presumed that Harrison Ford will be returning in the titular role as Indiana Jones. Previously it was speculated that Shia LeBeouf could take over the mantle of Indiana Jones given his role in the previous movie, but that doesn’t seem to be the case anymore. However John Rhys-Davies did state that he would love to see his character Sallah return.

In any case we guess at the very earliest we might be able to expect a trailer is in 2019 so fans will have quite a bit of waiting to do.

This Is What The OnePlus 6 Could Look Like

What will the upcoming OnePlus 6 look like? According to recent rumors it has been suggested that the phone could come with a notch in its display, but now it looks like the design of the phone might have been revealed, although interestingly enough the design of the phone is actually that of another device.

The Oppo R15 was recently announced and it seems that many are speculating that the OnePlus 6 will look like it. This is because based on previous releases, OnePlus handsets have typically resembled some of Oppo’s releases because OnePlus is actually a subsidiary of Oppo. For example the OnePlus 5T bears a striking resemblance to the Oppo R11S, which has some thinking that the OnePlus 6 could look like the Oppo R15.

Whether or not that is true remains to be seen, but the rumors of a notched display appear to be corroborated in the R15’s design, which if OnePlus is borrowing from will also sport a similar look. That being said if the speculation is correct and the OnePlus 6 looks like the R15, it’s not necessarily a bad thing as the R15 does have a pretty sleek design.

We’re not sure if OnePlus might put their own spin on it and make some changes here and there, so take it with a grain of salt for now. There’s no word on when the OnePlus 6 will be announced, but with the OnePlus 5 launched in June 2017, presumably the OnePlus 6 will be unveiled around a similar time.

Nokia 5233 Allegedly Explodes And Kills Teen In India

Phones exploding aren’t exactly new, and we have heard cases where exploding phones have caused injuries. However it seems that over in Odisha, India, it has been reported that a teen lost her life after the Nokia 5233 exploded while she was on the phone. The reports claim that she was talking to a relative when the incident happened.

Apparently the teen was knocked unconscious following the explosion and as a result suffered injuries to her hand, leg, and chest. She was rushed to a local hospital but unfortunately the doctors were unable to save her and she died. Considering that HMD Global is more or less the face of Nokia these days, the company has since come forward with a statement denying that they had anything to do with the manufacturing of the handset.

According to a statement made to BGR India, HMD Global said, “We are deeply saddened to hear of the unfortunate incident involving a 19-year-old girl that has been reported. The mobile phone in question was not manufactured or sold by HMD Global, the new home of Nokia phones, setup in December 2016 to create a new range of devices. As HMD Global, we are committed to producing high quality handsets which deliver a strong user experience and meet high customer expectations.”

It should be pointed out that the Nokia 5233 is a very old phone that was originally launched back in 2010. However the handset is still being sold today on Amazon India where it is priced at 2,990 Indian Rupees which is roughly $45.

New York Power Companies Can Charge Bitcoin Miners More

It is no secret that mining for cryptocurrency like Bitcoin will require a lot of electricity, which is why sometimes it has been suggested that sometimes it might not necessarily be worth all the energy and money spent setting up a mining rig as the operational costs could cost more. That being said, those in New York will soon have to start paying more.

The New York State Public Service Commission has recently announced that municipal power companies can charge higher electricity rates to cryptocurrency miners. Prior to this, a group of municipal power authorities had actually petitioned New York’s PSC for permission on raising the electricity rates for cryptocurrency miners, and now it looks like their wish has come true.

This is due to the fact that like we said, mining cryptocurrency takes up a lot of energy which can strain small local grids, which in turn causes rates to increase for other residents.

For example over in the Village of Akron, the power demanded by companies that are mining cryptocurrency accounted for 33% of the lower power company’s load. The PSC also notes that in some places, the monthly bills for residents saw an increase of nearly $10 because of cryptocurrency companies basing their mining operations there.

As ArsTechnica points out, in Boulder County, Colorado, marijuana growers are charged a higher electricity rate due to the power they consume to run equipment like lights, ventilation systems, air conditioners, and more, so there is precedent for a hike in electricity rates for particularly power-hungry industries.
