The notch is such a hot topic in mobile right now, overshadowed only by the Facebook scandal, that anyone and everyone has something to say about it. And despite the noise that notch haters make, OEMs seem to be hell-bent in cutting out a piece of the screen anyway. According to leaks, one such OEM is LG, though it might … Continue reading

Facebook VP memo shows execs knew, were OK with shady practices

The evidence against Facebook is piling up even before Zuckerberg appears before any formal hearing or investigation. LG Feeling Out How Users Feel About The ‘Notch’ Design

Do you love or hate the notch design that more phone manufacturers seem to be adopting? That seems to be more or less the trend these days, and even OnePlus’ CEO seems to be on board where he previously told fans to “learn to love” the notch. Now it appears that LG could be considering the notched design as well.

In a post on Reddit (via Android Police), it seems that LG reached out to the community to ask them how they feel about the notch. The post reads, “We’ve seen a LOT of comments around ‘The Notch ‘over the past few weeks, from people who love the quick access to the menu to those that hate the wasted screen space. We would love to gather some more feedback to share with our R&D team- and this is where you come in. So…what do you think? Love the Notch? Or is it Notch your thing?”

However oddly enough the message and account have since been deleted. We’re not sure why, maybe the feedback wasn’t as good as LG had hoped, or maybe LG didn’t want to reach out to the community in such a public forum. That being said, last month an alleged video of the LG G7 was leaked and it showed off a notched design.

We’re not sure if this is going to be the handset’s new official design, but it seems that LG is at the very least interested in hearing what users have to say about it.
