Nintendo To Host Nindies Showcase March 20

While Nintendo has done an excellent job of bringing some big titles onto the Nintendo Switch, they have also done a stellar job of encouraging indie developers to create games for the Switch, which many have done. Take for example Chucklefish who published Stardew Valley onto the Switch which has been extremely well-received.

Now if you’re a fan of the indie titles that have been released so far, Nintendo has more titles for you. The company has announced on its Facebook page that they will be hosting a Nindies Showcase on the 20th of March where they will be showcasing new indie titles that will be arriving for the console.

It is unclear as to what kind of titles Nintendo will be unveiling, but the last Nindies Showcase saw titles like Super Meat Boy Forever, Shovel Knight: King of Cards, and Travis Strikes Again announced. Either way we’ll have to wait and see, but Nintendo will be hosting a live stream on YouTube that you can check out on the day itself if you’re interested.

In the meantime there have been some indie titles announced that many Switch gamers are interested in, such as Chucklefish’s Witchbrook which is still in development and is unclear if it will arrive for the Switch. There is also Hotline Miami, Salt and Sanctuary, Cuphead (this probably won’t be anytime soon as it appears to be an Xbox One exclusive), and so on.

SEGA Teases New Sonic Racing Game

Just like Mario, Sonic is one of the more recognizable and classic video game characters around. For those who are looking forward to seeing more Sonic titles, it appears that SEGA might have a new Sonic racing title in the works and have since released a short trailer teasing the game.

It is unclear as to who will be behind the title, but it should be noted that this isn’t the first time that SEGA released a Sonic racing game. Previously there were Sonic & SEGA All-Stars Racing that was released on the PS3 and Xbox One, so we have to wonder if this could be another title in the franchise or if it could be something new entirely, but we guess we’ll just have to wait and see.

There is also no word on when this game will be released, but perhaps with E3 2018 coming up in the next few months, we could learn more then. In other Sonic-related news, SEGA has also announced Sonic Mania Plus which is basically a physical release of Sonic Mania with some added content.

This comes in the form of Mighty the Armadillo and Ray the Flying Squirrel, both of whom made their debut in 1993’s SegaSonic the Hedgehog. It will also include a 32-page art book and reversible sleeve.

Many people boycotted the game as a result, … Continue reading
