AT&T LG V30 Oreo Update Brings ThinQ Features

With Sprint and Verizon rolling out the Android 8.0 Oreo update for the LG V30, it was only a matter of time before AT&T joined the fray as well. The country’s second largest mobile carrier is now rolling out Oreo for the LG V30. The update brings the new ThinQ branding from LG as well as some of the new features that the company announced not too long ago.

Some of the users who have already received this software update report that it comes in at 1.8GB and features the latest March 2018 security maintenance release.

One user points out that the boot screen shows “V30 ThinQ” after the update is installed and that the new features such as LG’s AI CAM are included in this update. LG introduced its ThinQ branding with the LG V30S that it launched last month. It’s a revamped version of the handset with AI features.

AT&T is gradually rolling out the update for the LG V30 on its network. It may take a couple of days for the update to go live for all users. LG V30 owners on AT&T can try to manually download the update by navigating to the Software update menu in the Settings app.
