It’s Pi Day, and Microsoft is marking the occasion with a selection of one-day deals including up to 31.4-percent off Windows 10 PCs and accessories. The cut – a reference, of course, to the mathematical constant and irrational number that starts with 3.14159 and then just keeps on going – covers Windows notebooks from ASUS, Lenovo, Dell, and HP. Indeed, … Continue reading
Reminders on the Google Assistant are getting a whole lot more useful, with the ability to ask your Google Home to nudge your memory when you get to the store. Google Maps APIs Gaming was just announced for game developers around the world. With these keys to Google Maps, developers have access to the most vital component of the most successful mobile game in history: Pokemon GO. Pokémon Go and other games that use real-world maps are all the rage, but there’s a catch: they typically depend on semi-closed map frameworks that weren’t intended for gaming, forcing developers to jump through hoops to use that mapping info….
I stopped short when I came upon Audiojack’s booth at the SXSW Wellness Expo. Four blindfolded men sat in a huddle with headphones on, looking deeply engrossed. The company’s affable representative David Tobin was a few steps away, explaining his app…

Now this is something that Sega fans will be excited to hear. The publisher has confirmed that it’s going to release a collection of the classic Genesis games for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC this year. However, it appears that someone at Sega jumped the gun on the announcement as the tweet confirming it was promptly deleted, only to be reposted several hours later.
Sega Genesis Collection, also known as the Sega Mega Drive Collection in other markets, will feature Sonic The Hedgehog, Streets of Rage, Golden Axe, Gunstar Heroes, The Revenge of Shinobi, Altered Beast, and more.
This isn’t the first time that Sega has launched its Genesis collection. It previously did that for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 and that collection included 50 of its classic titles. It’s possible that the upcoming version will contain a similar number of titles, if not more.
Sega has only confirmed that the collection will be headed to the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC even though the Nintendo Switch seems like the perfect console for these games. However, the publisher is yet to confirm whether or not this collection will be released for Nintendo’s blockbuster console as well.
Sega fans can now mark their calendars as the Sega Genesis Collection will be released for the aforementioned platforms on May 29th, 2018.
