Apple today confirmed the WWDC 2018 dates. As expected, its annual developers’ conference is going to take place in June this year. The company conducts its Worldwide Developers Conference every year to unveil new iterations of its iOS and macOS platforms. That’s precisely what it’s going to do this year as well.
Apple has officially confirmed that the WWDC 2018 dates are June 4th through June 8th. The company is returning to San Jose for the event. Developers who are interested in attending the conference can now apply for tickets through March 22nd at 10 am PT through Apple’s WWDC website. The company is going to randomly issue tickets by March 23rd.
WWDC announcements aren’t just limited to iOS and macOS unveilings. The company has used this stage in the past to showcase new hardware as well. Just last year it unveiled the HomePod speaker, a new iMac Pro, and a 10.5 inch iPad Pro at the event. It also unveiled watchOS 4 and ARKit at WWDC 2017.
The next-generation versions of iOS and macOS are a staple at every event, though, and will be in 2018 as well. Recent reports have suggested that the company has a cheaper MacBook up its sleeve and a couple of new iPads as well. Perhaps we might get to see those devices at WWDC 2018.
