Drones usually act as flying cameras, often to great effect, but landscape photographer Reuben Wu has discovered an equally compelling use for them. In the series Lux Noctis (light the night), his UAVs both lit up and created halos around landforms i…
With rivals like Facebook moving into sports streaming, Twitter is now looking to offer more options to its users and for that reason it has reportedly inked a three-year deal with Major League Soccer. The deal will bring weekly programming to the network as well as live streams of at least 24 live matches per second. Major League Soccer had teamed up with Facebook for a similar deal for live weekly games last year.
Facebook may have lost Major League Soccer matches this year but it has clinched a deal with Major League Baseball. The world’s largest social network confirmed last week that it will be exclusively streaming 25 games this season.
The report mentions that this deal between MLS and Twitter will bring 24 matches per season that are broadcast on Univision in Spanish to Twitter in English. Only users in the United States will be able to view the live games.
Twitter will also get a package of on-demand highlights each week alongside the live games through MLS’s Twitter accounts @MLS and @FutbolMLS. The on-demand content will be available to all Twitter users globally.
With companies like Facebook, Amazon, and YouTube trying to clinch sports streaming rights to keep their viewers engaged, one can expect Twitter to remain in the mix as well and try to bring more sports content for its users both at home in the United States and abroad.

YouTube TV Price Hits $40 Tomorrow

If you’ve yet to subscribe to YouTube’s standalone online TV streaming service, you might want to do that today unless you want to pay a bit more for the service. Initially, the YouTube TV price was $35 per month but the company has now decided to increase it by $5 so unless you sign up today, you’ll have to pay $40 per month for it starting tomorrow.
YouTube TV was launched by Google in select markets last April. The service has since been rolled out in many other markets. It offers live streams from CBS, Fox, NBC, and ABC, the four major broadcast networks alongside networks like the CW, FX, ESPN, and others.
Since its launch last year, YouTube TV has grown significantly in terms of both its availability that the content offerings that subscribers can access. Some of the channels added recently include Cartoon Network, CNN, TNT, and TBS.
Google had confirmed last month that it would soon raise the YouTube TV price and the change will take effect starting tomorrow. A YouTube TV subscription will cost $40 from tomorrow which will bring it in line with competing services from Hulu and Sony.
Those who sign up for YouTube TV today will retain the original $35 per month price so unless you want to pay an additional $60 per year for the year, it would be best if you subscribed to YouTube TV today.

Huawei had confirmed at the Consumer Electronics Show 2018 in January this year that it would release the Honor 7X and Honor View 10 smartphones in the United States. The company has now confirmed the Honor View 10 price and release date for customers in the country. The handset is now available for pre-order and will start shipping to customers later this month.
The Honor View 10 is also known as the V10 in some regions. Its specifications are similar to Huawei’s Mate 10 Pro flagship smartphone as it has the same Kirin 970 processor and 6GB of RAM.
It also features a 16 megapixel and 20 megapixel dual camera system at the back, a 3,750mAh battery, and an LCD display. The handset ships with 128GB of onboard storage, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and Android 8.1 Oreo. The specifications list isn’t bad at all for a device that costs under $500.
The Honor View 10 was first made available in Europe but the company did confirm at CES 2018 that the handset will eventually be released in the United States as well.
In our review of the Honor View 10 we found it to be a beautifully designed device that delivers impressive performance. Check out the full review for more details.
Customers who are interested in this device can now pre-order the Honor View 10 for $499. The company is going to start shipping out the units from March 23rd.

Philips promised in January this year that it was going to release a slew of new products in the coming months. The products were to include a line of outdoor Hue lighting products that would be released in the summer. The company said at that time that the new products would enable customers to get more out of their exterior lighting by personalizing the ambiance for any moment. The company has now confirmed that the Philips Hue outdoor lights will be available for purchase this July.
The Philips Hue outdoor lights portfolio will include three products initially – luminaries, spot lighting, and pillar posts. They will span both the Philips Hue white and Philips Hue white and color ambiance ranges.
The Luminaires are meant to be attached to the side of the house near doors. They essentially work as motion-activated security and welcome lights. Philips will offer luminaries in a variety of styles with prices starting at $29.99.
Spotlights such as the new Philips Hue Lily will be used to enhance key design features in gardens such as potted plans or flower beds. Lily will be sold in packs of three for $279.99. Last but not the least, Calla is the bollard light which can be used to light up a driveway or path. The starter pack is going to cost $129.99.
The company has confirmed that the new Philips Hue outdoor lights will be available in July for customers in the United States and Europe.
