Grand Theft Auto 6 Reportedly Set For 2022 Release

It has been several years since Rockstar released Grand Theft Auto 5, and if you were hoping to see Grand Theft Auto 6 in the near future, you might be in for a wait because according to a report from YouTube channel The Know, it seems that Grand Theft Auto 6 is only expected to arrive in 2021 or 2022.

In addition to revealing a possible release date, The Know also claims that the game is currently being worked on under the moniker “Project Americas”. It is also rumored that the game will be set in the US and South America, where players will be able to fly back and forth between the two regions, and will also see players return to Vice City.

We know that there is still several years until the game is released, but given how long it took for Grand Theft Auto 5 to come out, we guess it doesn’t really come as a surprise. Not to mention that with the introduction of GTA Online which helps extend the game’s playability and the constant churning out of new game modes, we guess Rockstar is hoping to milk Grand Theft Auto 5 for as long as they can.

Take it with a grain of salt for now, but it isn’t a stretch to think that Rockstar would be done with the Grand Theft Auto franchise. However given that the game might only be released in the next 3-4 years, we have to wonder what kind of platforms it will support then.

Future Xbox One Update Will Automatically Use Your TV’s Game Mode

If you’re someone who’s really taken their time to explore the various options and settings that their TV has, you know that some TVs come with a “game mode”. This basically helps to reduce the lag when it comes to image processing, which can be important for those who game competitively or who care about that kind of thing.

However switching back and forth between game mode and normal mode can be annoying and tiresome, but the good news is that in an upcoming update to the Xbox One, it seems that Microsoft will automatically switch your TV’s game mode on when you’re using the Xbox One, and turns it off when you’re not.

According to Microsoft, “Auto Low Latency Mode will recognize when a game is being played and automatically switch your TV to a low-latency mode. This will enable you to continue using some of your TVs video processing options while you’re watching a movie or Mixer stream, but be comfortable that any post-processing will automatically be turned off when you switch back over to a game.”

This announcement was made alongside how the Xbox One X and Xbox One S will both support AMD Radeon FreeSync displays. No word on when these updates will be released save for a vague “spring” timeframe.
