Earlier it was reported that Fortnite Battle Royale would be arriving on mobile devices where it would also allow cross-platform play between mobile gamers, PC gamers, Mac gamers, and PS4 gamers. Microsoft’s Xbox One was left out of the list, which like we said isn’t surprising given Sony’s past reluctance.
However this isn’t necessarily a done deal yet. According to The Verge, Microsoft has confirmed to the publication that they are working with Epic Games to enable the functionality in the future. “We have been working closely with the team at Epic Games for some time to bring this functionality to all current and future versions of Fortnite and expect it to be available on Xbox along with other platforms. Microsoft has long been a leading voice in encouraging the adoption of cross-platform play and the potential of connecting players across PC, mobile and all consoles.”
However it should be noted that Microsoft does not specifically mention the PS4, so it is possible that at the end of the day, cross-play between Xbox One and PS4 gamer won’t be happening, but we guess at least there will be support between Xbox One and gamers on other platforms. It is unclear when this will happen (if at all), but we’ll be keeping our eyes peeled for more updates.

According to the rumors, Apple is said to launch a new pair of AirPods later this year. However according to new reports from Barclay analysts, the new AirPods are now rumored for a launch in 2019 and possibly with a new feature in the form of noise-cancellation which should prove to be rather interesting if it is true.
So far when it comes to noise-cancellation features, they tend to be limited to larger headphones, such as on- or over-ear style headphones as opposed to earbuds like the AirPods. However stuffing noise-cancellation into the AirPods will make it an even more compelling purchase, especially with rumors that the new AirPods could feature water-resistance.
There are also reports that the new AirPods could launch with a Siri co-processor that will allow it to understand “Hey Siri” commands, similar to that of the HomePod. The AirPods were launched in December 2016 which means that it is pretty ripe for an upgrade. The headphones were initially mocked but has since proven to be a hit product for Apple, where for a while they were pretty difficult to get ahold of.
Not to mention Apple has plans to launch a wireless charging case for the AirPods which should allow it to work with the upcoming AirPower wireless charging mat that the company is expected to release this year, and possibly this month if the rumors are to be believed.

In case you didn’t know, tomorrow (10th of March) is also known as MAR10 Day (Mario Day, get it?). To celebrate the day, we saw Nintendo team up with Google to bring Mario and his iconic go-kart to Google Maps, but the celebration does not stop there as Nintendo will also be discounting Super Mario Run.
The game, which is free to download and also free to play (limited to a few levels only) would normally cost $9.99 to unlock all of the game’s features. However to celebrate MAR10 Day, Nintendo has announced that the game’s full price will be slashed by 50% where it will now cost $4.99 only.
This is clearly a limited time event as the discount will only be valid from the 10th of March until the 25th of March, so if you have yet to purchase the game in full, now might be a good time to do so. This is not the first time that Nintendo has discounted the game, where back in September last year they also temporarily slashed its price by 50%.
Nintendo had also recently admitted that Super Mario Run isn’t as profitable as they had hoped, despite the fact that the game is probably the closest we’ll ever get to playing Super Mario on our phones, but hopefully the discount will help to spur sales of the game.

It seems that Lenovo’s Moto Mods program is still going on strong, despite the fact that the concept of modular phones doesn’t seem to be catching on. For the most part, Moto Mods have attached to Motorola phones, but it appears that the next Moto Mod could be worn on your face in the form of a virtual reality (VR) headset.
This is according to a leaked render posted by Evan Blass in which he shared images of what appears to be a VR headset for Motorola-brand smartphones. We suppose in a way this is still attached to the handset, and it appears to function similar to Samsung’s Gear VR or Google’s Cardboard VR headsets, where there will be a holder for your smartphone which will be used to display VR content.
This is a hell of a Mod… pic.twitter.com/Mah61AYIZr

This Moto Mod shouldn’t be too surprising especially when you consider the fact that last year, Lenovo launched a 360-degree camera mod, so we suppose a VR headset isn’t entirely out of the question. No word on when this Moto Mod will be launched or how much it will cost, so we guess we’ll just have to wait and see.
It is possible that this new Moto Mod could be launched alongside the Moto Z3, Lenovo’s next Motorola flagship smartphone. The handset hasn’t been confirmed yet although specs have been leaked, but unless they’re planning on discontinuing it, there’s a good chance it will be launched this year. Until then do take it with a grain of salt.
