You might have heard of Jon Favreau. He’s an actor and he was also in the director’s chair for Iron Man and Iron Man 2. Disney confirmed some time ago that it’s developing a Star Wars live action series for its streaming video platform which it’s yet to name. Lucasfilm has confirmed today that Jon Favreau will be writing and producing the live action Star Wars show for the streaming platform.
Favreau has been a part of the Star Wars galaxy before as he played roles in both the Star Wars: The Clone Wars animated series as well as in the upcoming standalone Han Solo movie titled Solo: A Star Wars Story.
This isn’t Disney’s first collaboration with Favreau as well. He aided the company in the launch of the Marvel Cinematic Universe as director of Iron Man and Iron Man 2 and has also served as an executive producer of the Iron Man and Avengers films aside from being the driector and producer of the highly successful The Jungle Book movie. His credentials clearly speak for his capabilities.
