Entire Huawei P20 Lineup Revealed In New Leak

There has been absolutely no shortage of leaks concerning Huawei’s upcoming P20 lineup and the latest leak today has revealed the entire Huawei P20 lineup which includes the P20, P20 Lite, and P20 Pro. The leak came from a source that has a pretty solid track record with these things so it can reasonably be expected that what you see here is what you’ll get on March 27th when Huawei takes the stage to unveil its new handsets.

Evan Blass a.k.a @evleaks has leaked renders of all three upcoming P20 models on Twitter. They confirm many of the rumors that we have been hearing about these devices, such as the fact that the bezel-less display is going to feature a notch.

The anticipated triple camera system of the Huawei P20 Pro is also visible in this latest leak thereby essentially confirming that Huawei will introduce a handset in the market with three cameras.

While the P20 and P20 Pro have a fingerprint sensor on the front, the render shows that the P20 Lite is going to have a fingerprint sensor at the back and despite that, retains a chain at the bottom of the device.

Huawei hasn’t revealed a lot of details about these devices but the company is going to properly announce them on March 27th in Paris. Pricing and availability will only be confirmed then.

Next Major Windows 10 Update Will Be Dubbed ‘Spring Creators Update’

In case you were wondering what Microsoft is going to call the next major Windows 10 update, a new report suggests that the company is going to call it “Spring Creators Update.” It will thus reuse its Creators Update moniker which could mean that the next update will bring some new features aimed at creators. Microsoft hasn’t officially named its next major Windows 10 update as yet but there’s enough circumstantial evidence for Spring Creators Update now to believe that this is what it’s going to be called.

The first Creators Update was launched by Microsoft in spring of 2017. The company then followed it up with the Fall Creators Update last year. You can see why it’s not surprising to see that the company might be planning to stick with this moniker.

The Windows 10 Spring Creators Update was first seen in Microsoft blog posts a few months ago but the company never referred to it as the official name for its next major update. However, references to the Windows 10 Spring Creators Update have now been spotted in the Windows 10 operating system itself.

The company is expected to release the Windows 10 Spring Creators Update next month with several new features such as HDR Support and Timeline. The Timeline feature was originally supposed to be released last year but it was delayed. The new update is also going to bring some user interface tweaks.

Oculus Rift Headsets Finally Unbricked With Software Update

Every single Oculus Rift virtual reality headset stopped working yesterday. It was immediately unclear why all headsets had essentially been bricked but it was soon discovered that Oculus apparently forget to renew its security certificate. The expired certificate caused part of the Rift app to crash and rendered it incapable of accessing VR software. Oculus said yesterday that it was looking into the matter and has now confirmed that all units are up and running again after it rolled out a software update to fix the issue.

Oculus has detailed the steps to fix this error in a separate support page which mentions all of the steps one is required to take in order to get the headset working again.

Oculus co-founder Nate Mitchell acknowledged on Twitter that “this was a mistake on our end” and that the company apologizes for the inconvenience caused. He further added that all those who were impacted by the downtime will be given Oculus store credit and that more details about this compensation will be provided soon.

Those who were facing this issue yesterday should now follow the steps mentioned in the support page to ensure that they can access VR software once again on the Rift.

Microsoft Confirms Windows 10 ‘S Mode’ Upgrades Will Be Free

Microsoft VP Joe Belfiore confirmed on Twitter yesterday that Microsoft would be doing away with Windows 10 S as a standalone iteration of its platform and introducing it as the “S Mode” in Windows 10 proper. It would be available to Windows 10 Home, Enterprise, and Pro customers. While Microsoft hadn’t confirmed it, some reports suggested that Windows 10 Pro customers would have to pay $49 to disable the S Mode. Microsoft has now set the record straight and confirmed that Windows 10 S Mode upgrades will be free for all users regardless of the edition they’re on.

Developed as a Chrome OS competitor in the education market, Windows 10 S was announced last year. It locked down a copy of Windows 10 so that users could only install apps from the Microsoft Store.

It was reported that Microsoft would enable Windows 10 Home users to disable the S Mode for free but would charge $49 to Windows 10 Pro users with S Mode enabled on their devices to get access to the full version of Windows 10 Pro.

Belfiore has confirmed in a blog post that this won’t be the case and that “if a customer does want to switch out of S mode, they will be able to do so at no charge, regardless of edition.” Belfiore also adds that one of the reasons why the company has decided to ditch Windows 10 S in favor of the S Mode is because the naming was confusing for both customers and partners.

It decided to simplify the experience based on that feedback. Starting with the next major Windows 10 update, customers will have the option to purchase a new Windows 10 Home or Windows 10 Pro PC with S mode enabled.

NBA TV And MLB Network Now Available On YouTube TV

Standalone TV streaming services like Sling TV and YouTube TV focus on providing a lot of options for sports fans who are looking to cut the cord. Sports fans are some of the most engaged TV viewers so it would make sense for these companies who are going up against traditional cable providers to try and win them over. In a bid to do that, and just before its impending price hike, YouTube TV has added NBA TV and MLB Network to the lineup.

YouTube TV, Google’s standalone live TV streaming service, now offers the NBA TV and MLB Network channels to sports fans. The company has added both new channels to its lineup merely days before its scheduled to increase the monthly subscription price from $35 to $40.

The addition of NBA TV and MLB Network means that there are now more than 60 broadcast and cable networks offered by YouTube TV. Most of these channels can stream content to more than 100 regions supported by this service but some networks do place restrictions on broadcasts and limit it to video-on-demand content only.

Those who haven’t signed up for YouTube TV yet but are now interested to because of these two networks, they can sign up for the service via the YouTube TV website. Those who sign up before March 13th, which is when the price hike goes into effect, will be able to keep the original $35 per month subscription fee.
