Watch Huawei unveil the P20 live right here

Huawei is about to unveil its brand new flagship smartphone — the P20. While many details have already leaked, this is going to be an interesting launch. The conference will begin at 3 PM in Paris, 9 AM in New York, 6 AM in San Francisco.

The company chose to unveil its new device at the magnificent Grand Palais in Paris. This is the first time Huawei chooses Paris to launch a major new device. Carriers and retailers in the U.S. have stopped selling Huawei devices. That might be the reason why the press conference is happening in Europe.

Huawei is now the second largest phone manufacturer in the world behind Samsung and just slightly above Apple. The P10 was a great device, so it’s clear that many Android fans will pay attention to today’s launch.

Cheaper iPads in schools will be a huge win for Apple

Tablets, as a whole, are not exactly doing well. Whether that’s the traditional slate, the multi-angle convertible, or the detachable 2-in-1, sales for big screen mobile devices continue to decline. That’s true even for Apple, whose iPads still dominate that market. The company is expected to announce new iPads that are low-cost and marketed at the education sector. And while … Continue reading

Additional Cast Members For Marvel’s Upcoming ‘Captain Marvel’ Movie Revealed

So we know that Marvel is currently filming a Captain Marvel movie which will cast actress Brie Larson in the titular role. In terms of cast, we also know that it will feature Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury, who hasn’t really made much of an appearance in Marvel movies since Captain America: The Winter Soldier, and Jude Law as Mar-Vell.

However Marvel has recently announced that more cast members have been added, such as Djimon Hounsou who will be cast as Korath the Pursuer and Lee Pace who will be reprising his role as Ronan the Accuser, both of whom have appeared in Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy movie.

There will also be the addition of Clark Gregg who will be reprising his role as Agent Phil Coulson. Gregg made his appearance in early Marvel movies like Iron Man, Thor, and The Avengers, but following his character’s “death”, Gregg’s character Coulson has since found a home on Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. TV series.

While we suppose it’s not exactly a crossover given that Gregg has appeared in Marvel movies before, it could be a start where we might see more characters from Marvel’s TV shows find their way into the MCU. The Captain Marvel movie is currently in the process of filming and is expected to be released come March 8, 2019.

Arizona Suspends Uber’s Self-Driving Car Tests

As you might have heard, Uber recently got into an accident during self-driving car testing in Tempe, Arizona. The accident resulted in the death of a pedestrian and following that, Uber quickly halted all self-driving tests. However if that wasn’t enough, now it looks like Arizona will also be suspending Uber’s self-driving tests in the state.

This is according to a report from CNN in which they managed to obtain a letter sent to Uber from Arizona governor Doug Ducey where based on the footage of the crash, Ducey said that it raised “questions about the ability of Uber to continue testing in Arizona.”

In a statement made to CNN, an Uber spokesman said, “We proactively suspended self-driving operations in all cities immediately following the tragic incident last week. We continue to help investigators in any way we can, and we’ll keep a dialogue open with the governor’s office to address any concerns they have.”

That being said, early reports following the crash indicated that Arizona might continue to allow self-driving tests. It is unclear if the suspension is only for Uber or for all companies that are looking to test their self-driving cars on Arizona’s public roads. Uber is also not alone in suspending their own testing as Toyota has also decided to suspend their tests.
