When most of us think of Gumpert we will think of the Gumpert Apollo sports car. Gumpert has teamed up with a Chinese firm called AIWAYS to create what the two firms claim the world’s first methanol-powered electric car. The ride uses the methanol to produce the electric power it needs to operate. By using methanol to produce the electricity … Continue reading
LG might be grabbing much of the attention in the coming days but HTC might not be that far behind. The Taiwanese OEM’s first and probably only 2018 flagship has been getting a fair amount of leaks lately but this last dump, if legit, might settle the biggest question about the HTC U12+ once and for all: will it have … Continue reading
Tablets didn’t exactly take over the computing world, as Apple and Microsoft had predicted years ago. But they have been evolving to the point where they can fill in for a laptop under the right circumstances. Still, how do you ensure that the tablet…
We have been hearing rumors that Nikon is developing a new mirrorless camera (or cameras) so the only question is when will we actually get to see them? Unfortunately for Nikon fans and enthusiasts, it seems that you guys will have a bit of waiting to do because it looks like these cameras will only be launching in the spring of 2019.
This is according to an interview with Japanese TV network NHK where a Nikon manager confirmed that the company’s new mirrorless cameras will be hitting the market in spring 2019. We know that this seems like an incredibly long time to wait, but Photokina 2018 will be taking place later this year where it is possible that Nikon will unveil their new cameras, or at least show some prototypes before they hit the market in 2019.
That being said, it is unclear as to what kind of mirrorless camera(s) Nikon might have up their sleeves. It has been largely speculated that Nikon could have developed a full-frame mirrorless which makes sense because Nikon’s rival Sony has been pretty much unchallenged in that particular market.
Either way we’ll have to wait and see so do check back with us in the coming months where hopefully more details will be revealed.

It is clear that by looking at the laptops offered by Apple that the MacBook Air is on its way out. However there have been rumors that Apple could debut one new model this year with a 13-inch Retina display, but unfortunately a report from DigiTimes (via AppleInsider) has revealed that the laptop could be delayed to the second half of 2018.
The earlier rumors indicated that Apple could have a cheaper MacBook Air launching in Q2 2018, but if the report from DigiTimes is accurate, it might only launch in the later part of the year. The report goes on to claim that Apple did not provide an explanation as to why they have delayed the production of the laptop so it is unclear as to the reason why, but some have speculated that it could have been caused by shortages of key components.
That being said, it is interesting that the MacBook Air is still alive and well despite the fact that the new 12-inch MacBooks have clearly been designed to replace them. Some rumors have claimed that Apple might have a 13-inch version of the MacBook that could replace the MacBook Air, but the latest report seems to suggest that we could get at least one more refresh of the MacBook Air this year.

When it comes to trying to predict what Apple does, there are some analysts who get it wrong almost every time, but then there are some that get it right with such consistency that it’s almost eerie. KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo is in the latter category where in the past he has made many an accurate prediction, thanks to his well-placed sources deep within the supply chain.
Unfortunately it seems that Kuo may no longer be reporting on Apple-related activity. This is according to a tweet by Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman who links to an article by China Times in which it reveals that Kuo has since left his job at KGI Securities. It is unclear where Kuo has landed at but the report claims that he will be moving on and covering other companies instead.
Congratulations to Ming Chi-Kuo (the best analyst covering Apple) who is leaving KGI for another firm, and reportedly moving on to cover innovative non-Apple companies. https://t.co/m55yUVQSGG

There could be a myriad of reasons why Kuo left KGI and is focusing on other companies besides Apple, but 9to5Mac suggests that Apple’s recent efforts to stem leaks could have resulted in him losing his sources, which is why he has decided to move to other industries and companies.
Either way Kuo’s departure will definitely mark a decrease in semi-accurate Apple-related predictions and hints of the company’s plan for the future.

No one warned me how hard it would be.
The uproar over the comedian’s roast is a troubling sign for how the media is responding to the Trump administration.
