Production On Stranger Things Season 3 Has Begun

The third season of Netflix’s “Stranger Things” has been pretty much confirmed, and the good news is that it looks like production of the third season has already begun. This is according to a report from The Hollywood Reporter in which Netflix has confirmed that production on the third season has already kicked off.

Unfortunately this does not mean that we will be seeing the third season released this year. As you might recall, it was previously reported that the third season might only be released in 2019, so combine the production/filming of the episodes along with post-production, it does seem that a release in 2018 would be rather tight.

While we have no idea if the third season of the show will live up to the previous seasons, the good news for fans is that at the very least it appears that a fourth season has already been confirmed. In fact there are even talks about a possible fifth season which is interesting when you consider the fact that the show was supposed to be a one-time run and that was it, but it looks like feedback and interest in it has encouraged Netflix to build on its success.

No word on when the fourth season will be released, but presumably it will be in 2020 at the earliest.

Valve Will Not Be Releasing DotA 2 Patches During Tournaments

The thing about patches in video games is that they are usually designed to balance the game, fix bugs, and make general improvements to it. However sometimes patches can go awry and do the opposite and wreak havoc on the game, which is why it’s not surprising to hear that Valve will not be releasing patches during major tournaments.

This is according to a tweet by the company who states that for the upcoming patch, it happens to land during a tournament which means that they’ll be delaying its release until the event is over. It is assumed that this will be Valve’s approach from here on out with regards to release of patches whose release might fall during an ongoing tournament.

This follows a previous event, the Epicenter XL tournament, in which Valve released a patch in the middle of the tournament which messed up the entire event as players had less than a day to adapt to the changes that Valve made. While the average player might not necessarily feel the impact, when it comes to the eSports scene, every little change can have a huge impact.

For example cooldown of a particular skill might have been increased by a second, which doesn’t seem like much, but it also means that during the heat of the moment, players will have to deal with that extra delay which could be the difference between victory and failure. That being said, hopefully Valve’s new approach towards patch releases will be taken into consideration by other developers in the future.

Twitter Updates Timeline By Grouping News Links Together

On Facebook when you have several friends/pages share a link, instead of seeing individual posts, sometimes you’d see the main link followed by grouped posts of the people that shared it. It is definitely less messy and less confusing than seeing multiple posts of the same link but at different intervals on your News Feed.

That seems to be a feature that Twitter is adopting, according to a report from BuzzFeed News who spotted the new feature. Twitter has since confirmed that this is something that they are working on and it will be rolling out to iOS, Android, and web users in the near future, which you can see in the screenshot to the right.

Basically in the screenshot to the right, it shows the Home Timeline of Twitter users where if more than one person in your network shares the link of a news article, it will be grouped together instead of users seeing multiple, individual posts. It will group those links together along with the tweets/captions of the people who shared it.

This change is the latest in Twitter’s efforts to leverage its platform to help spread news. The company has been making changes over the past couple of years where they want to use their network as a platform for news, whether it be live broadcasts or testing out ways to share breaking news.

Tesla Driver Caught Sitting In Passenger Seat With Autopilot Mode On

In case you didn’t already know, Tesla comes with an autopilot mode which while it sounds like a self-driving mode, it is really more of an enhanced cruise control feature. In fact Tesla in the past has warned against drivers using autopilot mode as a self-driving mode, but it’s hard to control what their customers do once they’ve purchased it.

Unfortunately for one Tesla owner, a Bhavesh Patel, aged 39, of Alfreton Road, Nottingham, he decided that he would put autopilot to the ultimate test by engaging it and then shifting over into the passenger seat. Unfortunately for Patel he was caught on camera performing that rather dangerous stunt. Granted due to traffic conditions, the car was only moving at 40mph, but it is still rather dangerous.

Patel has since pleaded guilty to dangerous driving. According to PC Kirk Caldicutt, from the Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire Road Policing Unit, “What Patel did was grossly irresponsible and could have easily ended in tragedy. He not only endangered his own life but the lives of other innocent people using the motorway on that day.”

As a result of this reckless stunt, Patel has been banned from driving for 18 months, given 100 hours of unpaid work, ordered to carry out 10 days of rehabilitation, and will also have to pay £1,800 in costs to the Crown Prosecution Service.
