Acer Predator Helios 500 Gaming Laptop Announced

As much as many gamers would love to to sit at home and play games on their big, beautiful rigs all day, the reality is that we need to get to places, such as school, work, and so on. However if you absolutely need to game on the go, that’s where gaming laptops come into play and Acer might have something for you.

The company has recently announced their latest gaming laptop in the form of the Acer Predator Helios 500. This is the latest gaming laptop and as expected given that it is a laptop designed for gaming, it does pack a punch in terms of its hardware. We’re looking at a 4K display with a refresh rate of 144Hz with support for NVIDIA’s G-Sync.

It can also be configured with specs up to an Intel Core i9+ 8950HK processor, an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 GPU with 8GB of VRAM, and even a whopping 64GB of RAM if you absolutely need that much. Acer is also boasting features such as Dual AeroBlade 3D fans which is said to improve on cooling, and given how much power this laptop can potentially pack, we’re not surprised.

As for pricing and availability, the Predator Helios 500 does not come cheap and is priced starting at $1,999 and will be available this coming June.
