If you thought that cartoons such as The Simpsons was getting a bit long in the tooth, you’ll be pleased to learn that the series’ creator Matt Groening has a new cartoon series that will be launching soon. Dubbed “Disenchantment”, it has been confirmed that the new series will launch on Netflix come 17th of August.
In case this is the first time you’re hearing about Disenchantment, this will be an adult animated comedy fantasy series. It will be set in the kingdom of Dreamland and follows the adventures (or misadventures) of a hard-drinking princess who goes by the name of Bean.
It will also feature her feisty elf companion Elfo, and her own personal demon Luci, where along the way they will encounter all manner of magical beings and humans too. The initial run will be for 10 episodes, but given that Netflix ordered 20, we expect the remaining 10 to be released shortly after.
In terms of who has been cast, there will be voice acting provided by Abbi Jacobson as Bean, Nat Faxon as Elfo, and Eric Andre as Luci. It will also include John DiMaggio, Billy West, Maurice LaMarche, Tress MacNeille, David Herman, Matt Berry, Jeny Batten, Rich Fulcher, Noel Fielding, and Lucy Montgomery.

With Nintendo experiencing a surprising amount of success with the release of the NES Classic and SNES Classic mini consoles, it wasn’t surprising to see other companies hop on board with similar mini releases of their own. So that begs the question, will Sony or Microsoft follow suit?
We don’t know what Microsoft’s plans are, but as far as Sony is concerned, it seems that the company has discussed the idea of a PlayStation Classic. This is according to a report from Mantan Web in which Sony Interactive Entertainment’s CEO John Kodera revealed that the company had discussed internally the idea of a PlayStation Classic.
He states that the company is “always digging up past assets and he adds, “I think there are various ways to do [a classic console]. There have been discussions happening [within the company] on what kind of ways are there.” However he stopped short of actually saying where those discussions might have led, such as whether Sony has decided that maybe they won’t move forward, or if they will be launching such a console in the near future.
In any case we suppose we have no choice but to wait and see if a PlayStation Classic will be launched, but in the meantime what do you guys think of such a device? And more importantly, what kind of games would you like to see on it?

Don’t like what someone is saying on Twitter? The simplest thing to do would be to block them, which is what US President Donald Trump has been doing in which he has been blocking those he deems to be his critics. However it seems that he’s not allowed to do that, according to a Federal judge’s ruling.
According to the ruling, US District Judge Naomi Reice Buchwald claims that by blocking users on Twitter, it apparently violates the First Amendment. “We hold that portions of the @realDonaldTrump account — the ‘interactive space’ where Twitter users may directly engage with the content of the President’s tweets — are properly analyzed under the ‘public forum’ doctrines set forth by the Supreme Court, that such space is a designated public forum, and that the blocking of the plaintiffs based on their political speech constitutes viewpoint discrimination that violates the FirstAmendment.”
She goes on to add, “In so holding, we reject the defendants’ contentions that the First Amendment does not apply in this case and that the President’s personal First Amendment interests supersede those of plaintiffs.” According to Trump’s previous claims, he is allowed to block users as he does the majority of his tweeting from his personal account, thus he is not restricted by the “public forum” designation.
Whether or not Trump will accept this ruling and move to start unblocking users remains to be seen, or if he will challenge this ruling, but if anything it does set an interesting precedent.
