Jetpacks In Fortnite Are Finally Available

Many players have been waiting for jetpacks in Fortnite after it was revealed some three months ago that they will be added to this popular battle royale title. The wait is finally over for them today as Epic has now added jetpacks in Fortnite. The developer confirmed in a tweet that the update which brings this much-awaited addition to the title will be rolling out today.

It was first revealed some three months ago through a datamine that jetpacks will be coming to Fortnite. While the datamine suggested that they are linked to a new limited-time mode called Close Encounters, the game’s news section mentions that jetpacks in Fortnite will only be available for a limited time.

Speculation suggested that the mode may be related to a rather interesting combination of jetpacks and shotguns. Epic hasn’t provided any clarification on that just yet, though.

Jetpacks in Fortnite will be coming with the v4.2 content update that will be released for the title today at 8 am ET. There’s going to be no server downtime while this update is rolled out.

“Strap in and blast off with Jetpacks in the v4.2 Content Update,” Epic Games confirmed on the official Twitter account for Fortnite.

You Can Now Mute Your Instagram Friends

Instagram has been testing a couple of new features recently such as the ability to see how much time you have spent in the app and see when you have caught up with all of the new posts in your timeline. There’s one new feature that hasn’t appeared online in recent weeks that Instagram has gone ahead and announced officially today. The Facebook-owned service has announced that you will now be able to mute your friends.

Mute has been described by Instagram as a new way to control what posts you see in the app. It will let you hide posts in your feed from select accounts without having to unfollow them.

Even if an account is muted, you will be able to see posts on their profile page and will also get notifications about comments or posts that you’re tagged in. The account that’s muted will not be aware that they have been muted and should you have a change of heart, unmuting an account is always a tap away.

An account can be muted in Instagram by tapping on the “…” menu in the corner of the post. It will present options to mute posts or mute posts and stories from an account. This can also be done by pressing and holding on a story in the tray or from a profile.

Instagram says that this feature will be rolling out to all users in the coming weeks.
