Summer is coming to Pokemon GO, and that means big updates are about to hit. For this season of the GPS/AI mobile game, Niantic’s bringing on the Alolan forms of Pokemon of all sorts – and that means some WACKY forms. Case in point, the Alolan version of Exeggutor. It has a very, very long neck. It’s very tall, and … Continue reading
Forget the Givenchy dress, groundbreaking sermon, and vast cake: the real star of the Royal Wedding this weekend had four wheels and an electric heart. While it may have looked like a classic E-Type, however, Meghan and Harry’s getaway car was actually even rarer than that. That’s because it’s the Jaguar E-Type Zero, the only electrified version of the car … Continue reading

The Tesla Model X is the “least capable SUV ever made,” according to Rivian CEO RJ Scaringe. It sits too low to the ground, for one, and yet, somehow, most American garages aren’t tall enough for the rear doors to open. It’s something that looks grea…

Apple and Samsung have been fighting a patent infringement lawsuit since 2012 when the former claimed that the Korean company had released devices which infringed on some of its patents. Apple sued Samsung and was subsequently awarded $1.05 billion in damages. However, that wasn’t the end of this as it was only the beginning of this legal tussle which would then go on for several years. The lawsuit recently came full circle and the jury will now meet to deliberate to deliver its final verdict in the case later today.
A new trial was ordered after the first trial in 2012 and the damages were recalculated. Samsung fought it out for as long as it could before paying $548 million to Apple in 2015.
Samsung wasn’t going to let this go without a fight, though. The company went to the U.S. Supreme Court to seek its opinion on whether damages can be collected on all of the profits made from an infringing device or if they could be limited to the value of the infringing components only.
The court ruled that the damages could be limited to the value of the infringing components as well so the case was remanded back to the Northern District Court of California where this legal tussle first started. The court has now been hearing arguments again with Apple asking for $1 billion in damages again while Samsung saying that they should be limited to $28 million and not based on the profits from the infringing devices.
The jury will meet today to discuss and deliver a final verdict in this case. That might happen later today or early tomorrow.

OnePlus has been launching two devices every year for the past couple of years. It first releases the new flagship for the year which is a big improvement over its predecessor and then follows that up about six months later with a slightly upgraded version of the handset that’s branded as a “T” device, look no further than last year’s OnePlus 5 and OnePlus 5T. It launched the OnePlus 6 officially last week and many have naturally asked if there’s going to be a OnePlus 6T launch later this year and it looks like there will be as the company has said it will stick to its schedule.
The company was asked on its official forums recently if it plans to revert the strategy to release two new devices each year to just one device per year.
“We don’t have any plans to change our strategy at this moment,” came the official reply, which suggests that the company does have the OnePlus 6T in the pipeline and that it’s going to release the device later this year.
It’s too soon to be sure, though, what improvements the OnePlus 6T might bring to the table. We should start to hear whispers about that in the coming months if OnePlus is indeed serious about launching this handset in the second half of this year.

It has been revealed in multiple reports recently that Samsung has a new smartwatch in the pipeline. Some reports have even claimed that the company is going to ditch the “Gear” branding for its smartwatch and launch it as the Galaxy Watch instead. It may also be the first Samsung smartwatch in many years to run on Wear OS, an iteration of Google’s mobile operating system that was previously referred to as Android Wear.
Samsung hasn’t made an Android Wear-powered smartwatch since 2014 when it released the Gear Live. All other wearable devices that it has released since then have been powered by its Tizen operating system.
A new report out of China claims that Samsung is now developing a smartwatch that’s going to be powered by Wear OS and not Tizen. It’s not clear, though, if Samsung will keep this product separate from its Tizen-powered lineup or of it’s going to make a permanent switch to Wear OS for its smartwatches.
The possibility that Samsung might launch two smartwatches later this year hasn’t been rolled out as well. One may be powered by Tizen while the other run on Wear OS. Samsung has made considerable investments in Tizen over the past few years so it doesn’t make sense at this point in time for the company to immediately ditch it as the operating system for its smartwatches.
More clarity on this can be expected in the coming months. Samsung isn’t expected to launch the new smartwatch until August at the very least.
