Sennheiser CX Sport Wireless Bluetooth Headphones Announced

As we’re starting to see more smartphone makers remove the headphone jack, it means that customers will probably need to start looking at wireless headphone options. Earlier this year Sennheiser unveiled the CX 6.00BT, but if you’re looking for something more suitable for the gym or exercise, Sennheiser has you covered as well.

The company has recently taken the wraps off its latest set of wireless headphones in the form of the CX Sport. In terms of design this seems to be identical to the CX 6.00BT, but as you can see, there are some changes made on the outside and inside to make it more suitable for physical activity.

This includes the rubber fins around each earbud which have been designed to help keep them more secure in your ears while you workout. It has also been designed to be splash and sweat-resistant, and while you probably shouldn’t go swimming or bathing in them, they should have no problems with a bit of sweat and water droplets.

As for the specs, it seems to be similar to the CX 6.00BT with a 6 hour battery life and Bluetooth AptX support. However it will cost more at $129.99, about $30 more than the CX 6.00BT, and will be available this coming June.

Google Encourages Developers To Make Apps & Websites More Accessible

It is easy for companies to try to aim their products and services at the majority, which means that in some cases, the minority will be left out. An example would be accessibility, where sometimes companies design products for those who are able-bodied, leaving those who are handicapped out.

However over the years we’ve seen how companies are starting to look at creating more accessible products, and while Google has made its services accessible to people with disabilities in the past and also recently launching an app that helps the blind “see”, it seems that it is becoming more of a focus now as the company has recently launched resources to help and encourage developers to make their apps and websites more accessible.

According to Google, creating apps or websites that are more accessible could result in it being useful for all users, not those who might require it. “You may even discover that addressing accessibility issues can improve the user experience for everyone. For instance, closed captions can make your videos accessible to more people whether they have a hearing impairment or are sitting in a crowded room.”

For those who are interested, Google points such users towards the Primer app where they just need to search for “accessibility” to learn more and to get started.
